I'm so glad you did the project bag, it looks excellent! You are completely right, the more you do, the easier it will get. I remember when I taught myself to sew, I felt very apprehensive. KZbin is a great resource for learning :) Also, keep your eyes peeled for fat quater fabric in Aldi, they often do really lovely designs in packs and are so cheap - perfect for practicing with. I would love to do a stitch a long on the Bothy Thread Wrendale designs too. I started 'The Meadow' (my first Wrendale) a few months ago. I've not got very far with it though. The frosty forest is amazing,can't wait to see it getting stitched. I've got a wrendale design here that needs to be started and I was really excited when I received it but haven't managed to start it yet,there's always many other wips I need to be doing. So I might be tempted with the Sal. Although I'll be already starting 2 in June..oh no too many plans,not enough time !!!! Happy belated birthday, you're lucky you've got your family around. 🤗 🌸🌸

You're very brave to make zipped project bags. I cannot make the vynil zipped ones. I use Vonna's envelope tutorial and use press studs instead of Valcrose. It's wonderful that your cousin cross stitched you a card😁.

I am not sure you probably could but I think it would take a very long time as you would need to do lots of little stitches so there was no gaps. Have a look on KZbin see if there are any videos on this! I am sure there will be something that could give guidance on getting the best hand made bag! :)
