🤗 So good to see you Kat! That Neapolitan yarn made me think also if the Brachs candy by that name! That shawl will be pretty. Enjoyed seeing all your projects. And I always like to hear what you have been reading, our tastes are much the same. Take care.

Hi Carlene! Yes, I forgot about that candy .... I look forward to having the shawl done, the last couple of days have been chilly here in MI, so it will soon be time to break out the knitwear! Glad you came to visit with me! Stay safe!! ~Katrina

Nice to see you again Katrina! All you WIPs look great. The camper finish is cute! Our base library actually opened first to people needing computer access. They have folded paper that you can turn to indicate if a computer is available or if it's been used and is awaiting cleaning. I think books that are returned sit for 3-4 days before going back to circulation. They also have totes around the library to place books in that you handled but don't want to borrow. Masks are required as well as using sanitizer upon entry. I'll have to look for The Other Bennett Sister - sounds interesting. I've read 125 books so far this year, most of which were during hubby's deployment and lockdown. Your cubby quilt is pretty - love the colors. Band during covid is certainly difficult. My third grader is supposed to learn how to play the recorder this year. I got her a face shield to wear during PE and music but we'll see how it goes. The weather is still nice enough here that they're doing PE outside without masks. Happy stitching!

Hi Kim! Thanks ... I was happy with the way the camper piece came out and hope I can do as good a job on the second one. It was a fun project to stitch! We are quarantining returned items for 3 days also, and have had a least one patron who was mad about that. He said he was insulted that we'd think he had COVID ... ummmmm .... we're trying to keep you and everyone else safe, we never said we thought you had it .... *smh*. 125 books ... WOW!! You are on a roll! Ahhh the recorder! Such a fun year, LOL Happy Stitching to you too. Glad you could visit. I enjoy your weekly updates!! ~Katrina

The projects look great. Both of your full coverage pieces are amazing! The shawl is going to fantastic. I love the yarn color! I’m planning on knitting the Reyna shawl too. You can do the cardigan. I’ve heard her patterns are really easy to follow. See ya soon.

Thank you Amber! I'm excited to try my hand at the cardigan, but I need to finish that Reyna first .... so many projects, not enough time! Thanks for visiting! ~Katrina

Hi Katrina! It was nice to catch up with you over coffee this morning. You had so much to share in this update! :) You’ll have to show us the wall above your piano when you add the ink circles pieces, that will be nice. I feel bad for music teachers and students right now, especially since music was probably the cornerstone of my own school experience. There is comfort in knowing this isn’t forever, but I know that only goes so far. I’m so impressed with your HAED progress! They are fantastic. I haven’t touched mine in 1.5 years because I got discouraged and distracted by other things. I haven’t been stitching now that school started but I’ve been watching flosstube here and there in the mornings with coffee. So thank you for this update and I wish you and your family well! -Leah

Hi LeahNoel! Yes, I need to make sure to take a picture before I take everything down. I need to figure that out and get it done .. it's going to be time to decorate for Christmas before we know it and I"d like it done before then. I know, I feel really bad for all teachers, but especially music teachers. Working on my HAEDs on the weekends has really helped keep moving them along without me getting overwhelmed. Pattern Keeper was also a game changer, though! I hope school is going well for you and you can get into a rhythm where you'll feel like you can get in at least a little bit of stitching time ... it can be great relaxation and therapy! So glad you could visit with me! Stay well and have a great semester! ~Katrina

Hello. I loved seeing your wips. I am very interested in the 3 Little Words series. I miss the library here. I believe it is open for curbside but I love spending hours inside, browsing.

HHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I want Neapolitan ice cream now 😂. Our public library here in Madison, AL was closed until late July for only curbside pickup. Now we can go in with limited numbers. There are no sitting or study areas open. All the kids play areas are closed. But my kids are so excited to go to the library and pick out books!! This is such a hard time for students and teachers when it comes to school. I feel for your Senior who will most likely miss out on the typical milestone events 🙁. Stay safe and thanks for making a video!

Hi Jenny! Ice cream does sound good!! We are talking about letting a couple of people in each hour to allow some computer access. We'll see how that goes, but I don't think it will happen for another couple of weeks. We're actually having a small construction project taken care of right now, so we can't do anything until that's done. I feel bad for my senior too, but I'm glad it's our younger son and not our older one. Our older son is much more of a social butterfly ... the younger one is more than happy to stay at home and play on his computer. I have yet to even get him to go to a school dance, so at least I think he won't care as much as his older brother would have. Hopefully things will be normal enough that we can have graduation next spring, but we'll just have to wait and see. You stay safe too ... I always look forward to seeing your updates! ~Katrina

I'm so happy you're back! I missed you. Yay!!!! Deer Creek makes me want to start Gone Fishin'. That's not a good thing. I don't need any more giant starts. Mmmmm...ice cream. I think here in SoCal, the libraries are all curbside still. I could be wrong. I love love love libraries, but I haven't been in one since Covid. Thankfully I have a Kindle and can use Overdrive. Can we trade weather for a week or two? It would give you a chance to use the high temp tree colors. It's supposed to be 114 here this weekend (according to the weather forecast this morning). You are a walking machine!!! Go girl!! I actually talked to my doc this morning. She thinks my foot issue is plantar fasciitis so I have not been walking consistently like I should. I wish you were closer so I could walk with you (probably follow since I imagine you are fast).

Hi Julie!! Thanks ... I'm glad I was missed. What's one more big project, LOL Ice cream sounded good a couple of days ago, but the temps dropped a lot here in MI in the last couple of days and it's a bit nippy here right now! Overdrive is the best! Our library also has a service called Hoopla which also has ebooks and eaudiobooks! I wish you were closer too, I could use a walking buddy. I don't really walk that fast. I usually average somewhere between 17-19 minutes/mile. It takes me about an hour and 15 minutes to walk 4 miles. Once pandemic life is over I probably won't be able to walk quite so much. Plantar Fasciitis is awful. I've dealt with that too. I did buy some compression socks that did seem to help and I haven't had to wear them the last couple of months. I almost messaged you last night ... hoping you all are ok. I was watching the national news and it sounds like most of the state of California is on fire. I hope it's not near you. You've already had one too close call .... I see you guys put up a video the other day ... hoping I can watch either tonight or tomorrow. ~Katrina

@@TheCraftyCataloger pretty sure we walk the same speed. Man I wish we lived near each other. My doctor didn't mention compression socks. She just said to stop walking barefoot around the house and if it doesn't get better, they'd do an injection. No thanks. Ouch. Sounds horrible. No needles in the foot, please. It was nice of you to think of us with the fires. The house is fine. Nothing is near us at this point (knocking soundly on wood), but the cabin is in the path of a fire right now. It's still pretty far away and they are predicting the winds will change direction later today (supposed to have really strong winds for awhile). I don't want anyone to have to deal with fire, but I'd be a liar if I said I didn't hope it changed direction. I can't go through the fire thing again, especially so soon after the house fire incident. I'm not mentally prepared enough. I did grab a few things out of the cabin that I knew I'd be devastated if we lost (just to be on the safe side). I am truly hopeful the fire is stopped, but resources are lacking at the moment due to all the other fires. Our poor cabin would not be their number one priority. Eep.

@@stitchingatthecabin a friend of mine who is an avid runner told me about the compression socks I bought mine on Amazon. I did find that it really helped, to the point where I actually stopped wearing it for a while but think I probably need to start wearing it again. I only wear it when I'm walking I find that it actually hurts my foot if I leave it on just when I'm sitting around the house. I can't walk around barefoot either.
