So sorry about your Dad, Bobbi. Lost my mom to ALS and now slowly losing my Dad to Parkinson’s. It is a long goodbye, prayers. Puppy distractions are the best!

Your Dad sounds like a great guy, may your wonderful memories continue to comfort you. Your new puppy is adorable. Best of luck on winning a ribbon and Congratulations on the new job. In my opinion, you are thinking about the job, bereavement leave, etc because that is a concrete issue vs an abstract time period. It is a safe place to help you be able control something in a situation you have little control over. I thought of you the other day, one of Satan’s butterflies stung me in the face. Once the pain subsided, I thought - what a perfect name.

Take care. It’s such a difficult journey. On a positive note, about six months after my dad passed, my mom looked and felt ten years younger. The full time caretaker role is so taxing, hope your mom rebounds like mine did. Good luck with the new job.

I'm so sorry about your Dad. I lost my dad 11 years ago. I was laid off from my job, but then my mother, who had just moved in with us, broke her hip. I'm now her caregiver. She is Gettings therapy and a nurse at our home. But she still can't do things for herself. Its a tiring job. I understand ...i only stitch at night when she goes to bed. Congratulations on the new job. Im hoping i can find something soon. But i don't see that just yet.

Bobbi, I am so sorry. Your dad sounds like a wonderful man. My dad just turned 95 on Weds, and my mom is 91. I am so blessed to have them still. If you ever want to talk, send me an email with your number and i'll call you. The new pup is a cutie, and always appreciate seeing all the dogs. Can you show Arlo and Skeeter next time, too?
