I’d never heard of an I Spy quilt before your video, but I love the idea! Maybe it would be feasible for you to do one of those for each family this year, if you can’t get a separate quilt ready for each grandchild in time. No matter what, those are wonderful gifts and ones that they will cherish their whole lives. I’ve never stitched a Quaker but would love to try one out, and Judy’s designs are lovely. As a dedicated stitcher, I always have to have a notions pouch to match each project bag. I so enjoy your videos and enjoy watching someone who isn’t too far from me - I’m in East Central Indiana.

Hi! I don't switch for the heels (but I've also never done heel flap and gusset so I'm not sure if that would make a difference) but I do switch to dpns for the toe!

Like you, I also have 4 daughters, and I do have 1 son. So between 5 kids I have 13 grandkids. I also make yearly ornaments for each. Sometimes I choose the same ornament and sometimes I let them choose. I’ve also made them all a shepherds bush stocking, which are the most fun! And congratulations on hitting the 5000 mark. I just came across a picture of my great-grandmother knitting for the Red Cross. She did a lot of sewing and knitting for World War One & Two. I love your wips! Amazing work. Sleigh are bigger and are usually pulled by animals like a horse. They seat 2+ people and are also know as a sledge. A sled is smaller, usually seating 1 person, and is most commonly used for recreation. Although sleds are also pulled by dogs and other small animals to transport good.

I enjoyed your video. I need to catch up on your videos because I really enjoy them. You have such a soothing voice and are so kind. Just what I needed after the week I’ve had and it’s only Tuesday. I am stitching sled designs for my daughter and grandkiddos. I have stitched a few and they are so darn cute. I don’t have nearly as many to stitch as you. I finished my first one today. Four more to go. I’ve stitched an ornament or two for every grandkiddo since birth. My daughter has a ten year old and she’s worried that when he moves out there won’t be any ornaments left so now I try to stitch one or two for her as well. I hope all the surgeries in your family go well. The pouch that you shared at the end has beautiful flowers on it. So pretty. Have a good two weeks.

One year, I made the girls small quilts and was shocked that the then 6yr old boy was sad he didn't get one. You better believe he had one made in a week! Lesson learned! I'm not sure they care about the ornaments now but I'm hoping it'll make them smile when they are grown!
