I LOVE Markup RXP. it's so good. and I love that you can look on the Info page at the calendar page and it shows you how many stitches you did on each day - awesome for tracking!

Really enjoyed your stitch with me Mrs Karen and love your beautiful new pattern. Looking forward to being along on this journey of yours. But dont hurt yourself more by stitching 1 handed to stop the jiggling of frame...we can deal with the jiggle as long as you get better 🥰

Thank you for showing the features of Markup R-XP. I was wondering if you tried to put in any other charts besides a HAED. I don't know when their latest update came out, but as of a couple of weeks ago this program did not work for me. I tried for several days to get the grid to align for both a full coverage chart and a regular chart and it wouldn't do it. I also was not able to add any color keys manually. I watched the instructional videos several times to make sure I am not missing any steps. After endless tries and all the frustration of it, I finally gave up.
@NeedleBugg2 жыл бұрын
I have done it and it worked fine,, tried to do it on the live tonight and could not find where my tablet saved the picture of the chart. I prefer apple products and only have a Samsung for PK. will be doing a short video on how to deal with paper charts in a few days

@@NeedleBugg Thank you for your reply. I am looking forward to the video about the paper charts. I just recently discovered your channel and really appreciate all the videos you have. After 40 years of stitching and a long break, I was blown away with all the new stuff that is available now when it comes to this craft.

thank you for the informative tutorial. Even though I have had Markup app for quite awhile, I was not able to figure out the features. I have used Knit Companion for my cross stitch for several years but the Markup app has features that I could use that Knit Companion does not have. Do you know if an image can be rotated.? Some of the patterns load portrait and it needs to be landscape form. Thank you
@NeedleBugg2 жыл бұрын
yes I just saw tonight that when you are importing an image (scan or photo) you can rotate the image. other than that I am not sure. have not seen that option

How do you feel about knit companion. I'm thinking of getting it. Tried markup and didn't like it. Looking for a program to use for patterns that doesn't go into pk. It needs to easy not tech savvy.
@NeedleBugg2 жыл бұрын
knit companion is ok. but if you would need to put your pages together if you want one big chart. I personally did not find it user friendly. big learning curve. that being said it has been a few years since I tried it so things may have changed. I think there is a free trial. you may want to check that out. sorry I am not of more help[

Karen, you can also mark off a square in PK. Just don't select any symbols and with a long press in mark up mode you get the pop up to select mark off the square or a whole page
@NeedleBugg2 жыл бұрын
thanks Joyce. I thought I showed that but maybe I just thought about it and forgot to. Are you using this app?? I am rathe liking it since the new update
@stitchydutchy20542 жыл бұрын
I only use it for patterns that PK won't take. But maybe I'll try it again, so I don't have to use Stitch Pal for my stats anymore

Hi Karen is the live tonight at 10 or 6. ( shows on tv at 10 and iPad at 6)? Also can you help with uploading a pattern from a picture such as a Mirabilia?
@NeedleBugg2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa. Live is at 6 pm. EST. As far as loading from a picture i have not done that. However if you search Markup R-XP on youtube the developer has a ton of videos on how the app works and loading from a picture is one of them. From what i gather you scan it and then import the scan and apply a grid. Doesn’t seem to hard from what i gather watching the video but like i said i have not done it myself
@wolflady582 жыл бұрын
Does it show backstitches? And can you put in a paper chart?

I am just figuring it all out myself. But yes to back stitches. It shows them in a LDS. Paper patterns yes also but i have not done that so I can’t explain how to do so. I have no experience there

@doreenterry13552 жыл бұрын
Sorry markup is not for me. To me the joy is in the stitching, the only "stats" I keep are when I begin and the details of the project, and how may hours I spend on it, everything else is totally irrevelant and pattern keeper works like a dream for me. But each to their own, have fun..
@NeedleBugg2 жыл бұрын
not every app is for everyone. as long as you enjoy what you are doing and having fun that is all that matters. if we were all the same and liked the same things what a boring world this would be. Happy stitching and enjoy your journey
