Just discovered you , and loved every minute, so I’ve spent all weekend binge watching from episode 1! I have walked around with my iPad and ear buds and laughed and smiled all weekend. I love your videos. I started doing cross stitch last August and FlossTube videos have been so very helpful in learning about this hobby. I am amazed at the variety of fabric colors and kinds of floss that are currently available. The last time I took an interest in cross stitch was between 1995 and the early 2000's. During that time I bought several kits that all came with 14 count aida. But I never started them. Last August a FlossTube video made me remember that I had a box of cross stitch kits somewhere! So I started them. I don't really like the aida but thrifty me I am using it. I have broken up stitching the old aida kits with stitching new charts on new fabrics. Love the new fabrics! Thank you for sharing your journey.

This is the first flosstube I have watched of yours! I don’t think I have laughed so much watching a flosstube before! Julie, your story of making the pillow roll was so funny and I could related to everything that happened! I have tried to iron interfacing & accidentally had the wrong bumpy side up before & had it stick to the iron. I don’t know about the Tylenol trick, I’ll have to go back & see that flosstube! Oh, you made me laugh!!! My last cross stitch injury was a broken foot. I was stitching in the same position for a very long time. I got up to get my water bottle not realizing that my foot was asleep. I'll spare you the gory details, but I was in a boot for 4 weeks while it healed. The only up side to this was having so much more time to stitch! I love your market purchases. I'm doing Stitch from Stash this year, so I did not purchase very much. It was nice to see come purchases that I had not seen before. Enjoy your goodies!!

You two were making me laugh so much today. Jane, I didn’t notice that Peter 2.0 had the same color on his vest and head until you pointed it out. But maybe, the chick has collected the bunny hair and knitted him a vest, so that’s why it looks similar!! And Julie, I have ironed the interfacing to my iron before too. I use used dryer sheets to get the gunk off. Just iron on them and the iron is wonderfully clean. Thanks for a fun visit.

It looks like a neckroll or as you said, settee cushion. Such beautiful work, as always.

“I chose to have to.” Love that-I think that’s the decision all of us make when we 🐸 I think Peter & Peep is lovely but here’s something to consider. I didn’t think a variegated thread was dark enough but I didn’t want to radically change color. I took a similar but darker sewing thread, which of course is much thinner than floss, and did a half stitch over top thread. Very quick & I loved the effect. U could do the same & maybe add a bit more contrast b/w body & vest. Probably easiest to make body a bit darker. Now it’s time to get back to my piss knot😂

Jane and Julie, you both absolutely make my day! Ya’ll crack me up and it’s wonderful. Thank you for doing FlossTube. Jane, I know it’s very difficult to share some of your fabric stash with the community and I understand. I am severely chronically ill at a young age and I never really got the chance to actually work so I depend on SSI and my Mom for income. So, I do save up to buy one piece of fabric and I don’t know if I will ever have the money to be able to stitch a piece with silks but that’s ok. I live vicariously through FlossTube and it makes me happy. But I have a legitimate panic attack when I go to buy fabric because I have saved up and what if what I think will look nice online turns out to not go at all and then I’m out all that money. So, when you share your fabrics, especially those where they don’t have them in my LNS then it really helps me to make a decision on what is worth taking a look at. So, don’t feel bad about your stash first of all you worked for that stash and second by sharing it with us, it helps us out. Just another perspective. Julie, thank you so much for supporting Jane and being so bright and bubbly. I would love to learn your recipes! I wish you both were my grandmothers. May The Lord Bless You Both and your families abundantly.
