On your sweater you can go back and do an embroidery stitch over the top of your knitting called a duplicate stitch. There are many KZbin videos on how to do this and it will look like you never forgot those stitches. Also you could "ladder" out those knit stitches back to the problem stitches and redo just that stitch, it is like fixing a dropped stitch, it will be a little tight but you can probably block it out and it will look ok again.

Yes, this is how I’d do it Erin. Either that or a chunky crochet hook and a spare bit of yarn and crochet the V’s back in. X

Great to see your stitching again! I think your sweater looks fine as it is- maybe you could call that bit a design feature? Happy stitching!

Loved your excitement when you were opening up the fabric pkg. No, don't rip out on the sweater.

For the knitting - you can just do a chain stitch on top to join the gap

Your sweater is beautiful! I would definitely not rip it out to fix the stitches you missed slipping, but I would definitely drop that stitch down and fix it. Just drop down to the first stitch you missed slipping, and pick up every other stitch on your way back up. Super easy!

I agree with others that you can fix the sweater without ripping out those rows. You’ll need to drop down that stitch to fix it. I can help if you need it, I screw up my knitting all the time so I am kind of an expert. 😂

I would frog those rows and reknit them With it on the front, it would bother me. Love the colour!

IM a knitter and that space would bug me. That being said, it’s your sweater and only your opinion matters! I also think there is probably an easier fix that ripping it out…but I never have the patience to look for tutorials so I rip and do it again…better for my brain 😂😂

There are lots of good tips below. DON"T RIP OUT ALL THOSE ROWS!! Just drop down that row and fix it.

I wonder if you could duplicate stitch on your sweater to fill in the line and just puff that tiny section up a bit.
@trishmcgoogan3921 Жыл бұрын
Someone already mentioned it but I would take a needle and your yarn and do a duplicate stitch over those few stitches you missed.

I don't think people's minds will fill in that missed bit of kints there. It might even call more attention to your stomach area because people will be looking at it trying to figure out why it doesn't look right. I agree with L Miller that you can ladder down to fix the stitching, there are several good youtube tutorials on how to do that. If you don't want to do that, then yes, pull back. I'm sorry, not the answer you were hoping to hear.

In general, I agree that most people will visually fill in the line and not really notice the absence of the slipped stitch. Generally I'm in the fudge it and call it a design feature camp, but since it's right on the front, I think it would bother me. I'm not sure I quite followed what you said you were supposed to do exactly, but if you were supposed to slip a stitch and then make 1, if you actually knitted the stitch you should have slipped, then you should have enough yarn in that area to just drop down those couple of stitches the necesarry number of rows and do it correctly, without having to rip out the entire rows. Even if it's a little tight, it will all even out when you wash and block it. But if you don't think it will bother you in the long run then by all means let it be.

I think you will be okay on the sweater if you don't go and take it all out. The only thing I can think of will it make a difference when it is washed?
