Thank you, Debbie. Paula Vaughn had so many beautiful patterns. I loved them all too. I can actually see myself going back to stitching more of her patterns, once I get all these "new" patterns out of my system. My cross stitch world has exploded in the past year and a half, and for now I am enjoying getting so many pieces finished in a year. Still, when I see her quilt patterns I want to start stitching them so I can hang one in my home.

I love the weathered look of the frame and it would be perfect for a beach house piece!

Congrats to the winners!! I never started the WIP go because if I did in probably wouldn’t stitch anything. Just the thought of having to go by “rules” would make me not want to stitch! 🤣. Looking forward to see what beach themed charts you find and/or buy. I do love the beach house pattern! Can’t wait to see your progress! And love the frame. I also love the weathered look.

You have to know your limits, right? And, cross stitch is supposed to be fun!!! I have a love/hate relationship with the goals I set. It has been a great motivator for me, but I cringe when some of the pieces get called. The great thing is it has freed me of the self-imposed guilt of not working on those pieces the rest of the year. 🤣 Thanks for sharing your opinion on the weathered frame. I'm so glad I asked, because it helps to have know what other cross-stitchers think. My family is zero help in deciding these things. They would say that frame looks like it is old junk. We can see the beauty in it. :)

Hi Heather, I like the beach finish on the weathered frame. I think that would look good. Sew she did looks so good on that wood piece.

Thank you. I think so too! It's funny how much I debate these things in my head, and 2nd guess myself. I appreciate you sharing your opinion. Having someone to bounce ideas off of is great!

I think your adorable beach stitch would look great mounted on the weathered frame. Your stitchy stars turned out great! The sewing machine too. You definitely have a knack for finishing. I struggle with that. Guess I have an issue with permanence and I’m my worst own critic.

You and me both, Diane! When I am in my room trying to decide how to finish I usually end up spending 30 minutes trying to decide on something and then I leave it on the table and walk out of the room. Then when I do finally decide I have an almost panic attack before gluing it on because I have worked so hard on the stitching and don't want to mess it up. I admit I've also just left the pieces sitting there and come back another day to finish, just to be sure I'm going to be happy. Hopefully this fear and indecision passes the more things I finish. I tell myself it will look better on whatever I finish than it will in the plastic bin under the table in my sewing room. Plus, I "can" always stitch them again if I absolutely hate what I did.

I think the frame, but the paint is definitely an option

Yay. Another video. Working on Twin Peaks Thanksgiving 1621 Sampler. I’m mindful how the early settlers decimated the Indigenous population and I cringe working on this, but I do love the feel of that “holiday.” Not sure how many more generations will “celebrate” but I’m too old not to.

That is a piece I have considered getting too. I will continue to celebrate the good in Thanksgiving. Remembering how the Indigenous people helped the Pilgrims make it through their first winter and learn about the new land they had come to. Not all the settlers had evil intentions, and Thnaksgiving is about showing gratitude for what has been given to us. I can see it also becoming a holiday where we mourn the losses and tragedy and evil that was done to those who lived on this land long before Europeans landed on these shores. History is never one-sided, and I believe it is important to learn what we can from the good & bad.

@@HeatherNorthcreativeblessings thank you for that, heather. I don’t need anyone’s approval nor am I pressured internally to stitch or not. It’s just nice to hear from a like minded person. My sentiments exactly. Happy Sunday!

Hey Heather, enjoyed watching your video tonight while I was stitching or I should say trying to stitch, I think I did more frogging lol. Your finishes look great. I like the weathered frame best. It’s supposed to be 100 here tomorrow so I will be staying in lol.

Sorry about all the frogging. Imagine how many things we could accomplish if we didn't have to rippit rippit rippit. 100+ degrees should be illegal. LOL. It got up to 99 here on Friday, but thankfully cooled back down yesterday. It's overcast and cool this morning. Just the way I like it! I'm leaning heavily towards using that weathered frame too. Thank you so much for sharing your opinion. I wish I had you in my craft room to help when I'm making these decisions. I tend to overthink and need someone to bounce ideas off of. :)
