Vicki, I love that you have so many WIPs. It makes your videos so interesting. I’m on the other end of the spectrum, I’ve got 7 and that’s too many for me! But that’s what makes our stitching unique to each of us. I don’t do WIPGO or SALs but I enjoy watching other people do them. I’m about 10 years older than you and have been stitching a very long time but I’m always learning from others. Your combination of HRH Villages and Houses is genius. I might just do that as well. Your finishes are beautiful! As are all your wips. The 2 cute houses on the rubbery fabric would make a great needlecase. You wouldn't need to cut them apart, just fold between them with one on the front, one on the back, some backing fabric and a piece or two of felt stitched inside. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw your video pop up! I love so many of your projects but when you showed Santa of the Forest and said your husband liked that one it reminded me that my husband saw that one hanging in a needlework shop and said he liked it. That was about 5 years ago so now seeing your beautiful progress on it, I have decided to make it one of my next year new starts. I even have it kitted up! Your hair looks great. Another nice visit today. I came into 2022 with 5 projects. I started 45 new projects. I will go into 2023 with 3 cross stitch projects, 1 quilt, 1 rug hooking project, and 1 crochet project. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

For the cute 2 houses don’t cut between them. You can cur around both of them and fold them to make a pillow or flat stand or you can just frame the adjacent houses as one complete project. I’m sad though because the color of the fabric is beautiful

I really like the flosses you chose for Lantern Lane. It is looking really nice. I can't imagine having so many WIPs myself, but it's fun to watch others who do. I am mostly a monogamous stitcher. I am just a person who likes to finish one thing before I move onto something else. Thanks for sharing your plans.

Your finishes are very beautiful and need to be fully finished or framed as soon as possible. They are way too nice to lanquish in a box. You stitch a lot but you have many, many wips and they are so wonderful to see.

Finishes - 25/7 is a group on Facebook, you choose a piece and stitch on it 25 minutes every day. Before long you’ll have finishes. I’ve had four in the past six weeks, since I joined the group. Now admittedly my pieces were no where near the size you do, but it makes a difference. I put in over 7000 stitches on one piece alone. Before I started I logged and too pictures of all my wips, then based on what was left to stitch on them I chose several and I’ve been working on them every day. I’ve also started and finished 5 smalls ( 4 this month, are ornaments I’m going to uses as gift tags). I have one more to do this week and get them finished. I have to decide my WIPGO and BRR-ingo boards this week too.

Everybody is different in regards to a comfortable level of WIPs. I'll have to count mine at the end of the year. We downsized four years ago so I don't have room for many. I work on four projects at a time until they are done....usually a big one, a seasonal one, a small, and something with an alphabet. I am an eclectic stitcher like you. Merry Christmas. I am taking notes, ordering Kringles to start NYE. I have a start on Lantern Lane but have to go back to the video where you gave the change in colors on the tree, love it. Now to start a basket for NYE and try my best to stick with it this year. Was inspired to count up my starts and FOs since getting back into cross stitch last April. Had 60 starts and 28 finishes, but NO FFOs. I need to get my butt to the framers for sure. There are NO cross stitch police!! You can have ALL the WIPs you want! Next year I turn the big 6-0! I’m not going to be like Jenn Lee and do 222 new starts, if I followed my birthday I’d have 814 new starts!!! Ack!! No, 60 is plenty for me… and right now I’m busy unpacking after having everything in storage for 4 years. Once that’s done and I have my stitching spot set up, let me at them!! Lol!! I like your “Fancy Folk February” idea! You know, I'm not one to have a lot of wips. I crave finishes. But, I sure do enjoy you having so many! Do your thing, Girlfriend! If you want to cut down on wips, do it. If you don't want to, don't! I think a focus piece each month could help you a lot! I pretty well do that (though again I don't have many wips) . Just don't "guilt trip" yourself!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!

I do love your festive sweater! As always it's fantastic to see you and all you work on. I was working on Santa of the Forest and had started at the top and was down to his beard, but I put it down for the night and picked it up the next day and it had a nice yellow stain from my highlighter. Had to toss it. Live and learn. Also also, about your dog. I have a poochers that licks his feet so I started putting olive oil and cayenne pepper balm on his feet. No more licking. Also Also Also you are such a kind beautiful wonderful person and don't let anyone dim your light!! Happy Holidays and lots of loves

Santa of the Forest is my husband's favorite also. I had it finished for years and just didn't want to spend the $ to frame it, so he took it himself and had it framed. It is gorgeous! One of those that you wish you could hang all year long.

When I had stiff Aida-I washed it but ironed it while it was wet and just kept ironing it till it was dry and it soften up a lot. I plan on doing a modified New Years Eve 12. I’m only going to do 6 as never make it till midnight any more so. So I’m going to do 3 new starts and work on 3 WIPS. Congratulations on the blackout on your WIPGO board!

I love your story lol, I turn 60 next year, I too was encouraged by Jen Lee and I am actually doing the 60 starts next year lol. I have a group of friends that are doing a birthday start year with me, a couple are doing the age they turn, and one was going to do that, but she decided she needed some extra space so she is shooting for 60 too, if she doesn't make the full 60 it will be somewhere between 42 and 60 lol. I love seeing all your wips, it just gives you more to choose from!!

I'm also going to do the Year of WIPs (Melanie of The Soulful Stitcher)....pick six projects and finish three (some people are doing more). You're at 49!? You have 11 more to go to 60 and there are 11 days left in the year. You should/could start 11 smalls starting tonight and you would have those in the mix by 12/30. Just a thought....lol.
