Do not ever call yourself a failure or a loser, Jordan. I think all of your projects are wonderful and always look forward to seeing how they come along. The designs you choose to stitch are so beautiful and I love the way you can make up conversions. Those intimidate me. I know they shouldn't since I knit and crochet all the time as well, and use my own colour choices for those projects. But, for stitching, not so confident. Keep stitching what you love and enjoy!

Please do not apologize. You are amazing and by simply putting yourself out there in these videos is a significant accomplishment! For movies, we introduced our son to the Indiana Jones movies (we fast forwarded thru the heart scene in the 2nd one😂) and Back to the Future movies. He LOVED them. So much he went as Indiana and Marty for Halloween. Enjoy your first weeks of summer.

Some of my favorite non-Disney kid's movies: The Swan Princess, Pebble & The Penguin, Once Upon a Forest, Troll in Central Park, The Land Before Time, My Neighbor Totoro. I feel like some of these traumatized me a smidge but not as much as Ferngully lol.

The libraries usually have fun reading programs for kids. It's hard to suggest movies but Chicken Run, Harry Potter, Fantastic Mr Fox, The Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, Muppet movies, The Princess Bride.

Sandlot, Rookie of the Year, A Kid in King Arthur's Court, Big Green, Little Giants, Angels in the Outfield, Ritchie Rich, It Takes Two, Man of the House, Parent Trap!! I grew up on those movies because we didn't have cable. I read Where the Crawdads Sing before I saw the movie and the book is soooo good. I thought they did a really good job of adapting the movie.

My children when they were young, which was a while ago, loved “ Fievel an American Tale” and there was a sequel that had a western theme. They also liked “A Troll in Central Park”, “Land Before Time”. Hopefully you can still stream these without having to rent them, which is starting to be really annoying!

"Consider the lillies" is a huge project, I alway's admire those who work through this pattern. I have Ann Tong Uffindell and I think this will be the project that will last my entire lifetime. I am surprised to see how large "the spring chickens pattern" is by Stacy Nash in real time, I have the pattern and I pictured it much smaller in my mind.

I love seeing your FT pop up every week! All of your projects are gorgeous. I’m in the same stitching boat - trying to finish up some wip’s before starting ALL the things that I want to work on. I’m also going to start the Brenda G Summer patriotic piece soon and I love your idea of stitching it on 32 w/1 strand 👍🪡. The Artsy Housewife butterfly is also on my docket- I have a whole set of butterfly & moth charts that I want to st. For a butterfly wall, of course! My boys ( in their 30’s now,) loved the movie “Bedknobs and Broomsticks,” and all of the Magic School Bus videos (are they still around? Super fun & educational and there are books too. No sketchy content in them either. Parents really need to keep an eye out for new videos for kids that actually have a lot of adult content 🥴👎.) Have a great week and happy stitching!

Great video! Love all that you stitch and all the haul! How did you find that Lakeside linen; you must have very good friends! It’s all beautiful! I loved Where The Crawdads Sing; read the book first; it’s a real good read as well! I can recommend Fly Away Home with Jeff Daniels - another great movie! Hope your summer is full of fun adventures and lots of stitching! You have plenty to keep you busy! I am hoping to start Every Opening Flower for my birthday start on the 19th; hoping to maybe start a Long Dog as well! I have so many wips I am trying to not start anything, but that never works out! I have tons of fabric and am making a few project bags but need to cut out a few more quilts as well! So many creative projects and so little time Enjoy all the precious moments! Thanks for sharing!

I have a movie recomendation for kids. I am not certain how old your kids are so I hope this is age appropriate. Zathura is the name of it. It's action packed and a bit like Jumanji. I am a seasoned adult but I still love to watch family movies especially stop motion animation. The Boxtrolls movie has the cutest little characters. When it's a hot day in July it's fun to watch the movie Snow Day. My kids are grown and way past childhood but we love to reminisce about their grade school days, it goes by so quickly. I love to see all your cross stitch. I like to think stitching is about the journey not the destination. Let's all start a new project!! Thank you for your time and your very friendly videos!

Hi Jordan. I’m new to your channel and just returned to cross stitching from 30 plus years ago. All of your work is amazing! I don’t know how you get it done with 3 kids. Question, what would be the best size linen to begin using. Remember, my eyes are a lot older than yours. I’m still using Aida 14. Is that a DMC chest behind you? Large? Is it worth the $ Naomi from FL Loved “Crawdads” book and movie!
@tattooed_stitcher7 ай бұрын
Hi Naomi! If you’re using 14 count Aida you could try 28 count linen or evenweave that’s the equivalent! 14-28, 16-32, 18-36. I hope that helps! Welcome back to stitching! It is a Dmc chest, I probably don’t use it as much as I should but I love looking at it!

I have had that Artsy Housewife pattern on my mind to but being a member of her Patreon I CANNOT start another thing of hers atm. Also a quick note on the Two By Julia chart, I downloaded the PDF from Kitten Stitcher and it is a dumpster fire of mistakes lol just so you are aware. Hopefully the printed charts are better but the amount of times I had to email her and then figure out what was going on was annoying and made me give up on it temporarily! I joined Grace Notes b/c of you and now you are out but this is my first FOTM and I am like welp guess I will be in it forever now
