I love the progress you have made on your projects. I do not stitch Halloween projects but I do Autumn ones and I am stitching on Autumn Sampler by Crocette a gogo and I am stitching it on 18-count Vintage Country Mocha and doing it 2 over 1. I will be stitching for the first time a house so that is exciting for me. The stitch count is 209 x 309 and for me that is huge. I loving stitching this piece. I look at it like do one stitch at a time and enjoy every stitch and that is my goal in life right now. Happy Stitching.

🫖my first time to watch your channel. Loved all your stitching!! More than that, another Texas stitcher. I’m in Rowlett. Always interested in where your LNS is and any stitch groups. I get most of my stuff online. But also creative stitches in Dallas. Retired so lots of time to stitch!!

Happy Autumn! I always enjoy your Floss Tubes and stitching. I’m also a Liz Matthew’s fan, although I haven’t stitched any of her patterns yet, although I have several. I especially enjoy seeing your progress on the 12 Days of Christmas. When you eventually finish it, you should enter it in the Texas State Fair. We (hubby & I) have lived in Texas for almost 26 years and have never been to the State Fair. Planned to go last year & we both got COVID. Timing doesn’t work out this year, but maybe next year? ☕️
@TheMuseumStitcher2 күн бұрын
I'd love to enter it in the fair! I grew up going every year, but I don't think I paid much attention to the crafts as a kid 😂 It's definitely an experience! When you do go make sure you get one of the smoked turkey legs, they were always my favorite!

☕Great to see you and all your progress! I had good stitching early in September, then went to stay with my brother to keep him from doing too much after a medical procedure and didn't put in a single stitch for almost 2 weeks 😞 Back home, I finally got back to stitching and am working on Mathilde from the Hands Across the Sea red box "Letters from Europe." Hi, Brijin! Just had to pause the video to say how precious your new dress is! And that color is so pretty on you. Great job!! Man, I just can’t believe how much goal stitching you accomplished in that amount of time…it’s truly amazing! You should be so proud of yourself ☺️. I’m still working on Turkey Day by Cottage Garden Samplings, and was almost done but I had gotten stuck on a leaf color that just did not look right, so I put it away until I could find a better color, and started on a new project called Magic Of Autumn, by Heartsong Stitchery on Etsy. Moody Autumn vibes, and gorgeous colors, called for flosses on 32 count Nantucket Eve fabric by Seraphim Fabrics. I am loving it so much. Oh by the way, I love your idea of a lunchtime stitch at work…it’s going so quickly, and it’s so cute! Thank you for another great visit. Until next time, happy stitching! Meline

Lovely projects and you are making such good progress. I’m looking forward to December to see your finishes. Congrats on your dress finish. Adorable. The earrings are perfect. Did you make them? I’m a crocheter as well as stitcher and need a pair of these.
@TheMuseumStitcher2 күн бұрын
Thank you! Aren't they amazing? I just bought them at a boutique, but I also crochet and I've been thinking about trying to make some! It seems like maybe using a lace needle and some DMC as the thread with a bit of wire for the outside structure might do the trick!

@@TheMuseumStitcher yes, they are very unique!! Great find. Maybe even Sulky 12 wt. would work as well. Definitely options. Might have to give it a try. I was looking on Etsy and saw some that looked like granny squares but they were wood and another pair was polymer clay. Thanks for sharing.

Some of the linen fabrics your stitching on is so beautiful and the drape is gorgeous. I am new to cross stitch and have been watching a lot of videos but haven’t stitched anything yet. I really only want to stitch on linen but so many have said that linen isnt the best thing to start with. Do you have any probs seeing those 40 count holes? Did u start on linen straight away? You’ve got a knack for choosing things with nice color combinations and also, you have a finished sewing project you must stand up and show us! No waving around the pattern pic that’s cheating 😂 I had really wanted to see it on you. Have you watched any videos on Fat Squirrel channel? I watched her first years and she has gotten so excellent at sewing and understanding how to make her clothes fit her so perfectly that they look way better now then anything she could have bought at the store.
@TheMuseumStitcher2 күн бұрын
Hi! Honestly I probably wouldn't recommend starting on linen, I'd do a small piece on an aida first just to get the hang of making all your x's cross the same way, practice starting and ending threads, and practice counting! But if you feel confident in starting and stitching over 2 threads, I think you could do a linen or an evenweave, but probably a 28 count! I struggled at the beginning seeing the holes on 40ct, and that was after months of stitching on 28 and 32. I used to have to use magnifying glasses at the beginning until I got the hang of it and I don't need them anymore! I started off on aida, but I switched to linen by my third project.
@suzeca-222 күн бұрын
@@TheMuseumStitcher Oh ok.. I hate Aida 😂 but I could start on evenweave that would be ok. I’ve been hearing people say that 25 or 28 count is good place to start. I don’t think I see many working on 40 ct. it sure is beautiful tho. That’s what I want to work on 40 ct linen.

Great video! I don't use PK so I never know how far I am in my projects lolol How do you keep track of your goals? I just got a cross stitch planner but always looking for ideas! I get what you mean about certain fibers not showing up on linen. I am currently stitching "Sarah Rinder" from HATS using the called-for silks and fabric, which is 40 ct Vintage Maple Sugar. I am struggling b/c while the linen has a bit of a purply vibe, the light pink and one of the lighter yellows is not showing up as well as I'd like. I've taken the silks to my LNS to try to select new fabric and other neutrals are even worse! I'll just recommit to it, finish it, and see how it goes. I am currently stitching "Hallows' Manor" by the Proper Stitcher and all of these cute little ghosts from shops on Etsy that I am flat finishing and then putting in a haunted house shelf I got from Michaels. I have stitched quite a few of these little guys and should probably stop to ensure they all fit.... they only have one house to haunt, currently 😄
