So happy to see your smiling face once again. So many beautiful stitching projects to watch your progress in the future. How wonderful to have your Mother moving so close to you. I had the pleasure of being able to move home and care for my Mother the last 5 years of her life. Since I was a registered nurse (now retired) I was able to keep her in her home till see left for heaven. Our Mom's are precious, so spend as much time with her that you are able. Have a Happy Birthday as you reach that early retirement age, and keeping stitching/knitting. Will we get you quilting yet to add to creative bug? 😄

Please don’t feel that you have to apologize for anything involving your video!! I absolutely loved every bit of it. Your stitching is so gorgeous and I don’t know anyone else that I watch who has such a wonderful variety of projects. Makes me so happy. I hope your back feels better soon. I can sympathize with you as I have cartilage gone in my back and my right knee, but I am older than you by quite a few years so I guess it is expected. LOL. I am like you in that I like to use pale blues and greens for many of my projects, tan just is boring to me unless it has a pretty overdye. Your cowl looks so beautiful, you learned so much in your class. I think your second class project looks really advanced. Great job. I love the pretty lacey shawls that people make; I also think socks would be fun too. So I am sure you will have so much fun. What fun that your mom will be close. I lost my 97 year old mom on Christmas Eve 2023, and I miss her so much. We spent a lot of time together. Enjoy your mom and the time you have together. Happy stitching……………………..

Loved seeing all of the things that you have been working on and glad that you are back to show them. I too decided that I need to branch out and do something besides cross stitch, so I have picked back up crochet. I enrolled in a monthly afghan pattern from Annie's that has Christmas stripes. You get the pattern and material for 3 different colored sections with directions. I have crocheted many years but some of these row designs are things I don't know how to do but you can go to their site and they give your step by step video instructions from each one of the. I have learned some new crochet stitches (didn't know there were so many). I am loving it. Hope that you will come back monthly again. That way the video won't be too long and your back won't start hurting. Hope you feel batter.

Like a number of others, I view your videos in bits and pieces. They are such treasures that I like to savor them. Also, you show such interesting charts that I often have to stop to go order the latest cool thing in charts or fabrics. LOL I admire stitchers who can juggle so many different pieces at once. I don't know how you manage to keep track. If I have more than 3 or 4, I tend to lose track of where I am on anything I'm working on. Keep showing us the latest because it's like catching up with a girlfriend. I think we don't live all that far apart. I checked the time for me to get to the needlework shop in Williamsburg and it would take me about 2 hours to get down there assuming there's no traffic jams in Northern Virginia or Richmond. I'll have to drive down there sometime; it looks like an interesting shop. I haven't made it over to Salty Yarns yet; I'd love to see their new shop.

For an over dyed look use one strand of each color of your DMC choices in the same needle. I learned that from stitching Teresa Wentzler’s. Lol. Looks just like variegated floss. Love all your projects. And your dogs!! I have those Lavender and Lace angels but haven’t started one yet. Someday!!! Will follow your progress for now. Roxanne

I always love seeing what you've been working on. Don't pressure yourself to have a certain amount of content to show; your work is inspiring and I enjoy seeing you whether you've worked on three projects or thirty. I taught myself to knit while I was in college and was pretty successful with a sampler afghan. I've tried a couple of times to knit a sweater but I tended to get bored and not pick them back up. I've been having an urge to try again and think I may try knitting some socks thinking they're smaller (I'm not going to ask for bets about whether I end up with half pairs or not lol). I love your cowl and your wrap. Unfortunately I live in an area that is a LNS/LYS desert or I'd follow your example and take a class. 🪡👠

Took me a while to get thru the video because I kept pausing it to go look for fabric that you used. Hope you are feeling better about your channel. There are several pieces you are doing I am either working on or want to start. No1 for me at Market this year is Serenity also. Hoping to start it sooner than later. 62 New Starts wow, you are one motivated lady. I turned 65 in Feb. But I said no way I would just be to overwhelmed I too love the BIG pieces but Im a very slow stitcher I mean like snail pace...lol so I will live vicariously through you and maybe join you on 1 or 2. Hi Vicky I am so glad to see you come back. I too have been out of my stitchy bug for a few months but I am back. I have been so far behind on my floss tube and I finally got caught up on your channel and I am still trying to get caught up on my other floss-tubers. I have kitted up 24 starters and worked on each one. I started the end of February on my 1st start and Mar I kitted up 23 new starts and April 1st was my 24 new start. I still have more that I have half kitted up just need the material so I may end up about another 10 to 12 more new starts. When I do finish on my starts I will send you a picture of what I have accomplished. I love all your cross stitching and have some on my wishlist. I live only 20 minutes away from Shepards bush and I will be going back to see the new patterns and buy some more material. I hope your back gets better. For navy blue and black fabrics in a small count I use a PUCK light that I bought at Home Depot ( package of 2) that uses batteries. It has 2 light settings as well. I place it under my stitching and it lights up the holes beautifully. The light is the size of a hockey puck and very light. It also has a magnet on the back so it stays put on a metal stand.

I'm so glad to see you again on Floss Tube. I am working on Sweet Humility and almost done just like the bottom ring of flowers and trees. I purchased Serenity and gathering supplies. Hello Vicky, love your videos (of course), and I want you to know you have a loyal fan base among Nelly's Needlers -- some are just dumbstruck at your prolificness, but we all love your work! Your Shannon Christine Winter Snowfall piece is stunning! That fabric is perfect for the white stitching, and the story about little Libby really hit me hard, my third grandson was born 6 1/2 weeks prematurely in November, and while that's generally safe enough these days, we were still holding our breath and my daughter was very stressed -- she basically kept her legs crossed for 4 days of labor! I would not want to know what it would be like without my little Charlie -- he's our "third musketeer!" I love so many of your pieces -- you are a terrible enabler! I just don't get out enough! You watch different flosstubes than I do, so I always get to see such new stuff after your videos!

Loved seeing all you’ve been busy working on, including your knitting & your little cuties, & so happy you were able to have a day at Liberty Hill! It’s such a fabulous shop and happy to have it close by. Comfort Lighthouse is a fun stitch; if you read the insert, it’s designed based off of New Point Comfort Lighthouse in Mathews County, which is a beautiful area if you haven’t been. P. Buckley Moss has a home & gallery there which is an added bonus, & some really good restaurants & shops. Hope your back is feeling better♥️🪡🧵

Vicky, I could watch you in segments, I could (and DID) watch your video in its entirety, I could watch you weekly, bi-weekly, monthly! I have missed you SO MUCH!!!! I am so very happy you are "back"!!! Of course it's going to be a long video, you were gone a LONG time! You had a LOT to share. Last year I turned 60 and did not do "60 for 60" or anything like that. Last year, I decided to do 24 new starts in 2024 (before Pam even started discussing it on Just Keep Stitching). Those plans went sideways 2 weeks into January, LOLOLOL! I had all 24 starts planned out, and how my months were going to go. Then the year started, and I worked over New Year's, so that went by the wayside... then I started a temperature chart.... then there was a SAL... then another SAL... then I spent all of March completing small gifts for attendees of the 2 retreats I'm doing in April... so you were the perfect companion as I caught up on my temperature chart and am now going to start yet another SAL! It is so good to see you again, and hope to see you again soon!
