So good to see you back Nicola. I do enjoy your flosstubes & have missed you. I too over the last couple of years got quite overwhelmed by some of the flosstubes I have watched ( to be honest I don’t know how they churn out so much) & I got to the point where there was so much I had to have. I have started so many cross stitch projects & never got very far with any of them. My husband had been very ill for some years & he passed last year, so after awhile I sold up & moved interstate ( I’m in Australia) to be near family & especially my grandchildren. So when I finally get my new sewing room sorted, I plan to only stitch what I really, really love. Keep doing what you’re doing, you are a joy to watch & seeing young Archie is also a highlight. I have the quilting bug, too. I finished my very first quilt a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait to make another one. I wish I didn't have to work, so I had more time. Some day! I haven't been stitching or watching flosstubes for quite some time due to a horrible loss in our family - way too depressed to do anything but cry. I've only just started to do some stitching again which got me to put on flosstubes, I like to watch while I stitch. So I needed to go back and watch your last one to understand what you were talking about - also read some of the comments and couldn't agree more - it's your company we enjoy while we stitch. It's very much like having a friend stop over and spend some time chatting. Love seeing what you are up to, what your plans are - love the dress quilt but my budget won't allow a new hobby no, no, no! but love seeing it. But I have had "Mice in the Sewing Room" in my stash for a long time - if you decide on that as your next tomato project, I'll join you! 😊

Thank you for sharing your time and talents 🌺 I purchased Millie’s Dresses from FQS in honor of my two dear aunts - Mildred B and Mildred A - Mildred A just celebrated her 100th birthday last month and was an elementary school teacher and an inspiring woman to my sister and me. My dear Aunt Millie B passed sadly before reaching that milestone but left our family with many sweet memories. She always dressed up (in Millie’s pattern fashion), loved her makeup, visits with family and friends, and life. Thank you for a fun and informative flosstube. Here is an idea. . . Use an ecru Sulky thread for you Christmas stitching on the Aztec Red and then you will only have to use one thread! I do it all the time on 32 count.

I loved seeing your progress with Millie’s Dresses, at the time I didn’t buy the kit just the pattern and after seeing yours regret it big time. I also have the pattern for the British flag quilt and AGAIN never thought to pick up the Notting Hill fabric (what was I thinking) it is just perfect for the project, look forward to your start on that also.
