My One Dog I had - Chewy - Female German Shepherd - she was a Chewer - so I gave her a old pair of my Shoes and a old pair of Socks and she chewed on those - played with them - her and Peanut my Boston Terrier played Tug Of War with the Shoes and the Socks. Thanks for bring out your tisket a tasket, I'm thinking of doing the whole pattern in a highly variegated blue thread!! Hi Sarah. The embroidery piece you did for your mother is beautiful, especially with the cat. You reminded me of a cat I stitched for my mother which came back to me after she passed. The 14 count fabric with the decoys on it was called hopscotch. I stitched on it myself in the 80s, i made pillows with a rooster and a hen on them. Just wanted to refresh your memory on that, 😂

One of my besties has something she stitched back in the day on the yellow and white one in her kitchen. The crewel piece is amazing. A lot of time and work went into that. My DIL’s mom and sister live in Lake Charles. Thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos. Btw, so sorry about your brother. I lost my little sister to breast cancer in March and I know how very difficult it is to lose a sibling. She was my best friend and stitching buddy. She had a flosstube channel before she got sick.

Oh Sarah - I cried right along with you. But I am a French-Canadian nurse so I get sentimental at the drop of a hat. Loved those old finishes you did. I have a piece of crewel, amongst others, that I did many years ago which is an owl and it has waited all this time to be framed. I am beginning to think about it and what kind of frame I want. It could still take awhile.

1976 - Crewel reigned! And stamped cross stitch was more available than counted. Nice to see the lovely piece you did for your mom. Really enjoyed Jackie's meditation - she brought out everything that is soothing about hand sewing. Glad you brought her calm out. Jane and Julie have been through so much physically in the last year, that I do hope this is just a long pause while Julie undergoes her hand surgery and recovery. Hi Sarah! I am a bit behind on my floss tubes, so I just watched this one and was saddened by the news about Jane and Julie. I know they both were having some health issues and they have been on my mind and in my heart. I pray for them both and send my love for rest and recovery. I stitched the same Crewl kit with the bricks in 1978. The orange flowers were made with "turkey loop" stitches. I still have mine too but not framed. So many memories, I bet your Mom just loved it.😊

Sarah, I love your Zoom idea! Depending on day & time I hope to join you on one. I agree when you get too many people & they're talking it can get glitchy to hear. I do one with my family every Sunday and when everyone tries to talk it gets a little crazy. I'm so bummed that I missed you at the stitching meet-up! My daughter had a swim meet and those go from 6:30am until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon! And this Saturday it was 102 outside! So much sweating happened! But fun to watch her swim!
