I am glad to see you on floss tube more often. You don't need to make long videos, shorter ones are just fine if that is what works best for you.

I love seeing your videos every two weeks! You need to continue your Anniversaries of the Heart how you like. You do have quite a bit done but if you don’t enjoy it, do it the way that gives you joy. You are the boss of your own cross-stitch! ❤

Really enjoyed seeing you and your beautiful stitching today! Okay, now to see if I can remember to answer all your questions: 1) I will and do enjoy seeing any and all of your flosstubes, no matter how often or how far apart; 2) if I thought I could finish the second bell in the next week or 2 at the most, I would stitch it before finishing the first one. However, if I didn't realistically think I could finish the second one that soon, I'd finish the first one to enjoy this season; and 3) I would not restart Anniversaries of the Heart. You are probably half done; I would just work on the rest of the project on a timeline to finish next year and if necessary, work a little more slowly than the rest of the SAL group to finish it on the 30 count fabric you started it on. And, lastly, but not a question: I really love your idea of your British/London quilt with the Liberty fabrics. I look forward to seeing your progress on it! Gracious! That is a LONG comment. Sorry!

I’m watching your Flosstube as I write and enjoying all your projects! I think you should make each little Anniversaries of the Heart into little pilllows, or a little quilt with some pretty fabric sashing in between the six that you have and just complete the ones started. Life is too short to not stitch exactly what pleases you. But your work is gorgeous and the little blocks can be charming because you are an excellent sewist and your finishes are always so delightful. How about a bunting with the blocks separated, strung on twine or something, and draped on your wall in your craft room? Just some ideas!

Hi Nicol to the jingle ball this year and I hope to see you there . I'm looking forward to your stitchmas . I watch you every year.

Nicola, on your Anniversaries of the Heart-you have to do what you will be happy with. I am someone that if I don't enjoy it, I won't complete (EVER). I have taken quilts (that are nearly done) completely apart and started over. I have started over on cross-stitch projects (granted they weren't as large as yours) that were nearly complete because I hated working on the fabric I was using. Always enjoy your videos!

2 weeks between episodes is fine. Do whatever works best for you. Oh my, I would continue with your anniversaries of the heart project. You have so much done already. I love the idea of your advent box for yourself. The Lori holt new quilt bok looks fantastic.

Thank you so very much for your lovely floss tubes. I enjoy your reasoning for your choices and way of enjoying your crafts. I think That I may have missed seeing the completed quilt of Lori Holt’s old fashioned dresses. Maybe a review of your completed quilts would be fun. I do so look forward to your shared time together.

I love the every two week video time line. I get busy with work so it works out well for me. I don’t get so behind in y floss tubes. I think doing the pattern that Pat Sloan is working on is a perfect idea! And going to London with mom, is much more fun! On Anniversaries of the heart, you need to do what makes you the happiest. I would have a hard time letting go of what I already stitched, but that can be made into something else. Project bag…, drum…. You have a lovely week!

I so enjoy your videos every two weeks. It’s such a Sunday treat for me! I love the idea of your own homemade advent filled with things you know you’ll like and use. Brilliant. Your Anniversaries of the Heart is gorgeous and more than halfway done. I couldn’t bear to put it aside but you are right that you need to enjoy your stitchy time. Have a wonderful time with your mom in London.❤

I totally understand how you feel about your Anniversary of the Heart stitch. I too much prefer using one thread however I am actually doing my Jingle Ball stitch (Festive Forest by The Blue Flower) with two strands on 32 ct. Honestly if I were you I would continue on with the two strands. You are soooo far along that I think it would just be sad to start all the way over. And it looks really beautiful as you've already stitched. The idea of making your own advent calendar, with Justin's help is such fun. I look forward to seeing you open your "surprises". And what luck, in a way, that you missed the boat for the quilt because your new choice of the London quilt is quite fun.

Hi Nicola, another lovely flosstube video. Really enjoyed seeing all your stitching progress. I have been doing my own stitching related advent calenders for a few years now. I have a couple of years advent calenders, just by saving fabric, charts and floss iv brought over time. Putting them away, and because I have a menopausal brain I forget what iv put away. 😊 Pumpkin Happy stitching 😊❤

Brilliant idea with the Liberty box!! Looking forward to see what you come up with. Oh, no! To continue on or start over?!?! The better question might be will you continue on if your heart isn't in it? You were so passionate about this project and it would be great to recapture that joy. The stitching to date is lovely. Possibly you could place it for adoption and find a 2 over 2 stitcher who would be equally passionate about it, and you could carry on joyously with 1 over two on 36. This is your hobby and I think you deserve to be happy about pursuing it.

Love seeing you every two weeks!! Just got 3 M & S Christmas tins and the car recently. YOU started all this last year!! This year I bought the Tea Store, Toy Shop and Gingerbread House. So cute!! Love your Liberty of London Advent House. You are a delight to watch. If I were you I would carry on the Anniversaries of the Heart. It is lovely and when you get it done you will love it. I have been in that position and was glad I didn’t start again. On the other hand I am just now starting Quaker Christmas II over on 36 count!!

Hi Nicola, another lovely flosstube! In answer to your question about Anniversary of the heart, I would make a drum or a sewing roll out of the one you have and start again on 36 count. I have done this myself on a couple of projects, after all this is a hobby and should be enjoyable! Whatever you choose I am sure it will be lovely!

I love that your schedule is every two weeks! The Stacy Nash sewing book is precious. If you truly love stitching on 36 ct, then start over. Nothing like stitching on something that doesn’t bring you happiness. Yes, you’ve stitch a lot already but start over if that makes you happy ❤ I can’t wait for you to share the Liberty Advent Box 😍 Happy Stitching & Happy Thanksgiving from Texas, USA

Happy Sunday from Oklahoma. I love the idea of your homemade advent. So clever to purchase the empty Liberty box. I love the Liberty fabrics and someday I hope I can plan a trip to the UK. Our Target stores is carrying some M&S Christmas items again this year. I bought a cute musical gingerbread tin with cookies and two tin trains with hot chocolate for my granddaughters. I also love Lori Holt and I really want her new book, but I am a very new quilter. I have 3 of her books purchased during random Fat Quarter Shop sales, but I still haven't made anything from them so I told myself I should not buy another book. I work full time and it's so hard to find time to sew all the things. I am really looking forward to Jingle Ball. I don't think I will have all of my advance stitching completed as I signed up for 3 classes. I would have a hard time restarting the sampler, but we stitch for pleasure and fun and it's so much time to do something you aren't really enjoying. What you have completed is beautiful though.

Hi Nicola! Love the idea of buying the advent box and filling it up. Personally, I think you should finish what you started even though it’s with two strands. I would get annoyed at restarting it if I were you. I think that it’s better to be annoyed at finishing it with two strands than restitching what you have done. I have a Brenda Gervais Quaker pattern that I am half done stitching. It has been languishing, because it is over one on Lugana so that it fits on a set of drawers, which I have. I am going to suck it up and finish it in 2025!

Oh Nicola, I totally understand your dilemma over Anniversaries. I too have fallen out of love with stitching with 2 strands. I’m finding it difficult to pick up WIPs started on 28-30-32 count. You need to enjoy your stitching. I’d put it to one side & start again on 36 or 40, maybe stitching as individual pieces that can be joined later on? Follow your heart. Penny x

I’ve been filling my own advent (wooden Fortumn & Mason) for years. But with all sorts of things from embroidery, candles, seeds, some lotions and beauty bits brought throughout the year. I fill it at the beginning of November and I am always happy with what’s inside and it gets used. 😂 also it’s a lot cheaper than buying a pre-made advent full of things you won’t use or don’t like.

Lovely stitching! Oh, that Anniversaries of the Heart is stunning! I understand what you are saying about not enjoying the stitch. The only way I can advocate for not continuing where you left off is to give that piece to someone who will pickup where you left off. That way it goes to a good home, and you can start over on fabric that you like using only one thread. Personally, I could never start something over that was so far along. I don't like stitching the same thing twice. I would have to finish that stitch. But, I like 30 count and stitching with 2 threads. So if you want to give it away, (wink, wink), I'm your gal. I will finish it. However, I think it is absolutely lovely and I think you will regret starting it over. But, . . . good luck with the decision. Hugs from NE Ohio.

Hi Nicola. I love your idea to order the empty advent boxes! Never in a million years would I have thought to do that! I would keep going on your Anniversary of the Heart series. It is really pretty and you are quite far along and can for sure get a finish in 2025. And for the bells from Brenda Gervais I’m torn. On the one hand I Iove the idea of getting an FFO now but I think in all honesty I would probably wait till they are both done to FFO them together.

I have pumpkin on my mind now. Going to have some pretty ones on my Thanksgiving table. I think I would probably finish the first row and have that framed. It is so pretty! Then if you decided down the road to do it on 36 count, it would be like a brand-new start. However, I think that you should do what makes your heart happy!
