I love fall and pumpkin collections are my favorite to decorate with. One year we were just finishing up a major remodel before a big family celebration and ran out of time and money to really decorate, so we just filled the house inside and out with all kinds of pumpkins. I too love the big, and odd looking pumpkins, white, pink, green or orange. Thanks girls for always entertaining us.

My youngest son's birthday is Oct 21st. When he was around 3 we started having family hayrides to pumpkin patches as part of his birthday celebration. He was in shock and disbelief the first year he went away to college and we still had the hayride without him lol. He is in his 30s now with sons of his own. He is still missing the hayrides! ( he lives in Colorado we live in Pennsylvania) It is now a family tradition being carried on with our grandsons.

As I've been thinking of venturing out into flosstube world I've started paying closer attention to the things that I really like about video's and channels that I follow. I have to say I love how you show something finished each week, even if it's only a previous finish. The other thing I love about your videos is that while you do talk about some non-stitchy things you make it short but it allows us to know that you are human and aren't stitchy hermits... PS - I typically purchase ceramic pumpkins or non-real ones simply because I don't like the mess.

I used to raise all my own pumpkins,especially the baby boos(white) and several other miniatures. I've never seen a blue pumpkin so I'm going to try and find some this year. Thanks for another great video. Cash is just the best little fellow ever.

Awwww, Cash is getting so big! He's such a cutie! I usually buy about 2 or 3 big pumpkins, and then usually buy a few jack-be-littles to decorate around the house with. I love getting the white pumpkins!

Oh, my! Watching you wear Cash makes me miss baby wearing. My youngest is now 5. I was protective of my first as well. With my 3rd baby I just passed him around. Love your WIPs. Always great stitching inspiration. We have a farm with a upick pumpkin patch, so I don't think I could count the number of Pumpkins we decorate with. I love the white and warty ones.

Great video! My husband was in the room while I was watching your video. He said he likes how you two make each other laugh. I love all the fall fancy floss colors! We love to buy pumpkins for the front porch, back porch and a few for the house. I am like Priscilla, the uglier the pumpkin the better. We typically buy around 15. Cash is just too cute!!! My youngest was not and is still not a good sleeper. I slept in the rocking chair for the first 16 months of his life. As soon as I’d lay him down he would wake so it was the only way to get some sleep. He will be 3 next week and is still up 3 times a night but at least he is on his own bed and room. I buy 5 pumpkins...one for each member of the family. I tried to grow some this year but it just didn’t work. My brother has some growing this year so I may perform a midnight pumpkin patch raid.

Cash is getting more adorable every day! I buy one orange pumpkin and use the flesh for soup. When I was young, pumpkins weren't available in Ireland so we used to carve a turnip......very hard work and very dangerous! My dad used to do it for us. I love all your fall and Halloween stitching. We usually buy three or four plus the miniature. After carving my pumpkins I sprinkle them (heavily)with cinnamon. When lit, the pumpkin smells like pie! Yummy-Hugs to you all

Great video! I usually buy half a dozen pumpkins and mums to decorate the front flowered but then we usually purchase enough for a close friend's daughter (who is an elementary school teacher) so each child in her class has one to decorate. Hello Cash and Ronnie..... Until next week.....

I've lived in hot climates for most of my life and pumpkins did not work as decorating items in the yard as they would rot too soon. I bought an artificial one at Michael's a few years ago, carved it and have been using it since. Mainly, the kids in the neighborhood come to our house first thing because we have full size candy bars to give out. The first year we lived at our current address, the first child to visit us on Halloween went squealing down the road yelling :they have big bars, big bars, big bars!" We've been popular one day a year ever since :)

In the past, when our church did Pumpkin Patch fundraiser before Halloween, I got to get loads of pumpkins when Halloween was over. Sticky board, sticky board, sticky board... I love it. I recently re-framed a piece I did in 1985 that was on sticky board. It came off like a breeze with no damage. The fabric and thread were in great condition. Let's hear it for sticky board!

Enjoyed the video today. Seemed more relaxed in it. I buy anywhere from 20 - 25 pumpkins of all shapes. Sizes and colors. I decorate outside with them and do one arrangement inside with smaller pumpkins and gourds. By trick or treat night I usually have 2 or 3 carved for the porch. One traditional and 2 specialty carvings like witches, ghosts. Really whatever catches my fancy that year.

Pumpkins! I love them, warty, orange, striped, squished-looking...all the pumpkins! Priscilla, I hear you about buying so many. I might have a "problem" when it comes to buying pumpkins. ;) Last year, I had over sixty, counting all the tiny ones. My husband carried on for a week about what we were going to DO with them all. I love as many different varieties as I can get my hands on, and have gotten really good at pumpkins stacks, even making one that was eight pumpkins high. Considering my front yard slopes down fairly steeply, I was really proud of that one. I start buying fresh pumpkins before October 1st and keep them displayed through Thanksgiving Day. The day after Thanksgiving, it's All Christmas, All the Time. Any pumpkins that are still in fair shape I spray paint white and restack as snowmen. They usually last until just about Christmas. Weirdly enough, I have never cooked a pumpkin. All my pumpkin baked goods use Libbey's canned. :) I hope y'all have a great week!

Girls, I have a wooden pumpkin that sits by my front door. I do not have to worry about it rotting!! I do purchase some small pumpkins for decorating inside the house. Loved all the stitching as usual!! And that Cash...he is a cutie patootie for sure.

That's the cutest bundle of Cash I've ever seen! Love the videos ladies, I don't comment often because I'm always late and tend to binge your videos. I no longer buy real pumpkins, I have to do the foam ones.... why you ask? Because one morning I woke up to find that critters I don't know what.. raccoons, possums, rats, squirrels... had eaten, smashed, carried away, basically my porch was slimy sticky mess of pumpkin guts and my husband said you're doing that anymore.

Hello ladies! I take my family to our local pumpkin patch every year it's my favorite trip! I get as many pumpkins as I can fit in my wagon!!!! I don't normally carve them I do display them but I do cook them down and dehydrate them into a powder for pumpkin pie throughout the year!

I bought 1 pumpkin several fall seasons ago. I let the pumpkin rot away and reseed itself, and the following year I had more pumpkins growing! I just keep doing the same thing. So technically I've only bought 1 pumpkin in 5 years, lol!

Hi. We bought two pumpkins when the boys were young now we get pumpkin to eat! I agree, camping to me would be a bad hotel! In my flosstube video, I said that putting a bar of Irish Spring soap best the plants kept the squirrels and other animals away. I found it to work. Loved seeing your beautiful finishes. Great video. Hubby and I agree with Priscilla about camping. Our idea of camping is staying at a Holiday Inn Express. I have two resin pumpkins that I place on our dining room table for our granddaughters. One is orange and the other is blue for children with food allergies (youngest one). Can't believe how fast Cash is growing.

another great video...Cash is soooo sweet...I didn't realize there were so many different colors of pumpkins...pretty awesome...I have purchased up to 6 pumpkins...mostly small ones...because my place is fairly small...last year I did purchase a white one...the only problem I have with them is the neighborhood squirrels just love my pumpkins too and every time I come home from work there is another bite taken out of a pumpkin...I guess this year I need to buy more so I can trade them out...:-) until next time...take care Kathy x

Another great video. We usually buy three pumpkins. We have one massive one that takes three or four people to load at the pumpkin farm cause it is so heavy. We usually blowup the faces on my copier at work and then carve them for Halloween. It is so much fun and all the kids around the block love them. They all bring their cameras to take pictures of it every year. Love baby Cash. He is so darn cute. Love camping too. Camping in Cherokee NC this coming holiday weekend. I used to buy alot of pumpkins when my kids were little, carved some, decorated some and just put alot of them around the house. Now that the kids are out of the house I use fake pumpkins, I know, it is not the same, but it is alot cheaper and I don't have to worry about them rotting away. Would love to stitch the 5 pumpkin pattern. Great video.

I only tend to buy one when my little cousin takes me to a small pumpkin patch, the rest come home grown from my dad's allotment! Of course we carve them but the best thing to use them for is a homemade pumpkin pie!

So many good ideas! I buy one large pumpkin for the front porch and a pie pumpkin to make a pie. My favorite pie has some brown sugar and butter in it, and you put the spices in a small amount of hot water before adding them. Cash is a cutie! His hair does look red on the videos.

My favorite pumpkin is the pumpkin muffins that Costco has come. They come out in October. I also love their pumpkin pies.
