I love that you're teaching so many younger people how to stitch and getting them hooked early. It's a beautiful calling. Your stitching is amazing. You are very inspiring. And I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but the Spring Equinox is on March 19 this year, not the 21st.

Thank you for watching and all your compliments and for letting me know about the spring equinox. 😊

I always enjoy your Flosstubes. The Spring Quaker calls for 3 skeins. I am not a purple fan but grabbed 3 different GAST ( Sweet Pea, Highland Heather and Red Plum) mauves to stitch mine with. I like your idea of pinks, yellows and blues. Glad your daughter’s friend wants to learn to cross stitch. My daughter sews, knits and has attempted cross stitch. She is good at buying the patterns, lol. I always say I don’t make mistakes in Cross Stitch, just utilize artistic expression.😉
@the_new_england_stitcher7 ай бұрын
Love that saying, definitely using some artistic expression. Your daughter is just collecting patterns for when she is ready to stitch them. 😊

Thanks for sharing pictures of your students’ stitching. I love that you are passing on your love of stitching to a group of kiddos who hopefully will turn it into a lifetime hobby. As a retired teacher, I love seeing the kids involved, at school, in such a worthwhile project. Kudos to you and your teacher friend for starting this. You are so lucky to have access to an LNS. I don’t have that and I understand about wanting to see the fabric before you purchase it. So far I haven’t disliked very many pieces that I’ve ordered from 123 and when I ask for recommendations of what fabric to choose for a specific project they have been so helpful. Loved seeing all,of your projects. I’m not a quilter but I love quilts and seeing what you are working on. Happy St Patrick’s Day!

So enjoy your floss tube .I recently got got MAINE from 123 stitch after seeing it on a flosstube, not sure if it was B&E, Northwood or you. I checked to have it kitted. It actually came with a agave linen although in the directions it says its on a smokey 36. So glad to see yours was on a smokey grey...looks so much better. I also like Your husband was from upstate NY...grew up in Ogdensburg....beautiful area.

I so enjoy your videos and hearing about the students and their stitching. For my tiny towns I have used Sulky thread on 32 count lugana to get good coverage and colour saturation with one strand. This is Ontarios spring break for kids so it is the week to sort my threads and patterns and magazines. I have a lot of quilting magazines. Since there is five Sundays I think I will record an extra video for my flosstube…so many options! I love how creative you are. Have a marvellous March.

Was trying to figure out what the small town in CT was that you shopped at and got the buttons. I would have never guessed. I'm 100% Armenian, originally from CT. Maybe try a skein of Classic Colorworks "baby blanket" instead of that purple.

I love watching your flosstube. I like the idea of stitching on the bag as your exchange gift for the upcoming retreat. Could you share how you stitch on these? Do you cover the stitches on the inside of the bag? What type of thread do you use since the squares are larger on the bags?

Just found you today and subscribed. I love that you are teaching your students how to cross stitch! What grade do you teach? I am a retired fourth grade teacher. I picked up stitching after I retired (after a 30 year break from stitching) and love it. I am starting Tis Spring this week. I was born in Massachusetts, but moved to California in the 70's.
