Love Purple Haze and Thistle House. I have Thistle Do Nicely with silks by Dinky Dyes. Ella Vaughn is lovely and one of the things I love best about you is even if you've just begun, you always seem to have a nice, substantial start on your projects. I love when floss & fabrics are changed, even changes to the design. I wish more uniqueness could be found in making the designs our own❤

Your stitching is lovely. For thistle cottage…I go to sulky thread which is like 1.5 of DMC to get the coverage but I am lucky to have an LNS with a full range of colours. We have a rabbit in the backyard through all the seasons this year…crazy weather for February in Ontario.

Hi Amanda, lovely to see you and all your projects. Thistle house looks great; I would just carry on without worrying. Like you, my go to is usually 32ct with two strands of DMC but I have done 36ct with two strands and 36ct with one strand. As my sampler wall grows, I’m finding that it’s nice to have the contrast and see the different effects 😀. Happy stitching and enjoy your retreat.

The highland cow by Bothy is really amazing! I think I'll stick with smaller projects for now. I really love looking at the Nashville market releases, especially love those Stacy Nash "Animal Crackers." The little mouse, and the little rabbit will likely find there way into my stash. They're just irresistible!...and I know my grandchildren will be enchanted by them!

Love just love your little humming bird, he is so sweet, I am the devil for starting projects and realising I am wasting fabric, I do try a keep small pieces or tiny projects but I can’t stitch in hand very well with my arthritis and the never fit in a hoop that I have, gosh I cannot get on with a Q snap, do you used them? I can’t get my fabric to stay taut. Rabbit please, Enjoy the weekend.

Oh my Amanda, there will be some stitch in that cow, but isn’t he magnificent, I love highland cows it always fabulous to see them when we visit Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, I am probably less than 50 miles away from you but the there is a sea between us, making visiting Scotland least frequent than it used to be, the cost of the ferry between us has become ridiculous, instead of producing a rabbit from a hat 🐰, can I through my name into it.

Dare I say it!? I told you 36 count is the devil, and I'm never happy with my stitching on it (2 strands too bulky, 1 strand too sparse). I destashed every piece of 36 count linen in my stash out of sheer frustration. However, with all that said, I really do like yours! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished. It's a pretty piece.
