Great progress on your WIPS, I absolutely love the mugs...they're on my list to do in the future. Daisy chain stitchery has such lovely patterns, but there's something about the Teresa Kogut All the things pattern that attracts me, its totally not what I normally go for. The fabric choices on the website are great too, the 18ct Tea mist has to be my favourite. Hope you get some relief soon from your neck pain. Great video.

I'm definitely going to have to get the nutcracker this year. He's beautiful and you did such a great job! I checked out the Daisy Chain shop. I love all of the fabric choices but I think 28 count eavenweave peacock is my favorite. I have also been eyeing Winter Snowfall by Shannon Cristine Designs. I think it is such a lovely piece. I'm like you in that I fell away from Stitching for awhile but then found flosstube and patternkeeper and have fallen in love again with the craft.

Oh Carolyn 😮I totally relate to your protruding discs in neck. The pain sends you through the roof. Mine is lower back L4, the sciatic nerve is protruding through causing inflammation as it gets trapped. For last 10 yrs I’ve had to take lots of strong meds to be able to work and get on with life. I’m now at the point, nothing else will work as pain affects my hips & walking. So on the same road mRI etc and discussing surgery to sort it. I’m also very worried as runs risks of being paralysed. But can’t carry on like I have. I really hope you too get yours sorted. Stitching does help me get in a better place when the pain is unbearable, heated back pad, cuppa and film! Beautiful stitching, that recent nutcracker being my favourite ❤️ Take care & look after yourself!

I have had 3 back surgeries. I have spinal stenosis so my discs are rupturing. I’ve had a one surgery that didn’t really do much. The other two surgeries were fusions. They did offer relief but with spinal stenosis it just moves up the spine. I’ve been putting off another back surgery for several years now. I’m just not in the right frame of mind to go through it so I’m existing on pain medication 🤷🏼‍♀️. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Neck and back pain is the pits.

Oh hi 👋🏼 Thank you for your message. But oh my goodness sorry to read about your journey with awful disc issues & many ops to try & sort it. And like me you have to take strong meds to function each day. I hope 🤞🏼my surgeon can sort it. My friend had same op, and surgeon specialises in trauma to discs etc. But although they aren’t hopeful it will work I have to have epidural spinal thing, inject direct into sciatic nerve. Then after looking at disc removal or fuse together. My friends was successful & she doesn’t take the array of all the strong meds which I’m hoping for. Stitching does help me, as you know the pain does get you down sometimes. But cross stitch puts me in my happy place watching our Carolyn too. Helped me get on my full coverages & parking! You really are right Jane, the pain does get you down. How lucky we are to put our energy into some we love and we can divert the focus for awhile. I've had my neck issue most of my life and I'm quite good at coping with it, unless I'm doing stupid things and not being careful. Lucky I have a great chiro who fixes me up. I don't have to take regular medication, only when I have a flare up, so I'm grateful for that. My recent trauma has been a huge eye opener for me and I won't be doing anything risky in the future. I'm sorry you've had to deal with so much and I hope you can find a happy medium that works for you, whether it be surgery or otherwise. xx

Thank you very much! Ooooh yay, I'm so glad you purchased it too. I bought the same colour beads but in petite size. All you do is drop the first 0 and add a 4 in its place to get the petite size. So, I bought 42011 and 40479. Hope that helps and happy stitching x

What white floss did you use? I have the white belfast opalescent fabric but it looks like B5200 will not show up. Also, did you use white belfast opalescent fabric? Your work is beautiful.

I used B5200 on both designs that I stitched on using the linen, but I didn’t use white Opalescent fabric.. Mine was raw so it’s literally an uncoloured fabric but with the Opalescent fleck weaved through it. I agree, I don’t think you’ll see the white floss on the white fabric, unless you plan on backstitching it afterwards. Thank you so much 🥰

What size of material would you use for the cups? I stitch on 16 count what size of fabric would I need to use for the cups? thank you so much if you answer me. It would really help me out!

The stitch count of the design is 234 x 316 and accordingly to my fabric calculator that works out to 15" x 20" on 16 count fabric, but you would need to allow for a border also so for a 2" border you would need 19" x 24" or for a 3" border you would need 21" x 26". I always try and aim for a 3" border as it gives me room to fit the fabric into my scroll bars without any hassle. However, if I'm trying to use up a piece of fabric I already have then I will go for a 2" border. Really depends on what you prefer, and of course your budget. Best of luck.
