Hi Marlene. I so enjoyed your video, as usual. It's almost like visiting with you in person. I love all of the things you stitch. We have similar tastes. I love Brenda Gervais patterns too. Your Miss Mary Mack is adorable. I am trying to organize my sewing room, so I can truly relax with my stitching! I also do alot of wool applique (my name is Wooley Girl), and quilting. I hope you and your husband stay warm and healthy. It's beautiful here in South Alabama, (Mobile area), but 46 degrees. I have always been a hot natured person, but since I have reached 71, I get cold alot. Haha! Have a great week and can't wait until you have another video. Hugs! Pam Miller

I sure do enjoy your Flosstube and the nuggets of advice you mingle into your stitching 🕯️❣️. I laughed out loud when you talked about your hair and static electricity 😂. I'm up in Ohio and I know exactly what you were experiencing. I also laughed when you were talking about the volume on your device, "why can't they leave it the way they found it?", advice from your mother!!! Anyways, happy stitching and see you next time 💙🧵💙

Hi Marlene. Great to see you and all your beautiful projects. We have been having a very mild winter in SD. No snow and warm out. 48 today. I do miss the snow! I use a product called Moroccan Oil. It’s great for dry and static hair. And smell wonderful. And love your strawberries. I stuffed by large strawberry with fiberfill in tip and then used rice. Then padded the top with fiberfill again. I found it great as I can shape it easily. Excited to see you start a Carriage House….. I love Kathy Barrick/Carriage House. They are awesome to stitch. Have a wonderful day ❤️

Hi Dawna, I’ll definitely try that trick! And I’ll be looking for Moroccan oil. I’ve only stitched a couple of Kathy Barrick’s patterns but I have another one or two waiting in the wings. I can’t wait to get farther along on this HRH! Blessings, Marlene

Hello Marlene! I live in Illinois--to combat the static cling in my hair I put hand lotion on my hand, rub it in really good and then I run my fingers through my hair. Another trick when it starts to get cold and the furnace is running more--put a pan of water near the heat register--then it will add some humidity to the air and help with the static. It was so nice seeing all of your lovely stitching and listening to your sweet voice! Stay well!!

Great ideas Angie. I do have a humidifier going near the fire so that helps. I tried the hand lotion this morning and it really did help! Blessings, Marlene

Hi Marlene, I always look forward to your videos. You get so much accomplished and now you have inspired me to try a strawberry. Yours came out beautifully. I watched two women new to flosstube yesterday called loose threads. They are both cross stitchers and quilters. One showed project bags she had made using items found such as dresser scarfs, embroidered pillow cases and I believe one was a hankie. You may find it helpful. Happy stitching and stay well.

Hi Marlene. I believe the name of the stitch chart is by Stacy Nash called Little Redwork Pinkeep. The alphabet is one side and the motifs would be the back with them both attached to each other. Hi Marlene! It is almost 4pm and only 18°F! For the hair... when you lotion your hands, just before the lotion is completely absorbed by your skin, run your fingers through your hair. You don't want to lotion your hair, so a little bit goes a very long way. Mary Mack is on 40 count! You stitched on 40 count easy peasy! :)
@MarleneBush2 жыл бұрын
What a great tip Abi...never thought about that! I think you should move down here where it’s usually warmer. Of course, the humidity is awful in the summer but I’d rather be hot than cold. Isn’t Miss Mary Mack looking great! Blessings, Marlene

Cindy I don’t like it at all! It’s more work for me to find them too! I go to a thrift shop and look for wool shirts or pants or blazers if they aren’t too heavy.
