Everything looks so pretty in your Buttons and Beads project Water Pump - the kit , the stitching, the project bag, the marker. All of it is so coordinated and lovely.

I loved how the Mill Hill Water Pump turned out! My plan is to start mine later on this summer. Your new patterns are beautiful. I like following your floss tube because you stitch designs that I’ve never seen before. I agree that it’s nice to see people stitching unique designs. I hope your little helper, June, makes another appearance in an upcoming video! Enjoy hiking in the beautiful outdoors!

The Mill hill looks so cute! Congratulations on finishing it. Bird poste is even more pretty than I thought from the pic, love it! The Lanarte kit you bought has been on my radar for probably more than 15 years. Big surprise there😂

I was blessed with a pair of orioles this year at the feeder. They nested and brought their male and a female fledges to the feeder to enjoy the jelly and oranges. 🥰🥰🥰 I'm hoping they come back next year! I have the Dimensions Bird Poste kit and need to start it, so pretty!!

Lovely work as always! You really are someone to inspire me. Your stitching is always of such beautiful and calming things, it just seems to go right with your personality! I had put out a hummingbird feeder last year and never saw a single bird, and this year no luck either. We move in less than a month so I won't get to see if there's any luck in the second half of summer or not.

Hi, Christine. As usual, love all your projects, & the water pump piece is so pretty! I love that new pumpkins design, so pretty & my favorite season! It does look a lot like an MB design. Maybe the tanagers/orioles just haven't come through your area yet. We finally have been seeing a few goldfinches coming back this year, not many, just a few, but it's nice to see them making an appearance at my nyjer sock again. Unfortunately, the starlings have started becoming a nuisance again this week, so I'm looking into getting a caged tube feeder to keep them away. They're such a pain to get rid of! Enjoy your 4th of July holiday! 😊🇺🇲🧨🎆 Oh, & it cracked me up when you introduced June! 😂🦒

So good to see you again!! I have a stand similar to that and does look like the Edmond one. I got mine at a cross st store, sadly no longer around, in the late 80s early 90s and was called, "Grip It". I really prefer to do 2 handed stitching so it is handy and also use lap or table stand. I am also in CO...N Denver/Thornton area. I used to hike a lot too but am no longer able to.So good to see the stitching and also hearing about your family and life, birdies too. Hope to see more of your progress on the stitching! Beautiful projects!

Hi Sharon! I did some research and I think you're right about my floor stand being a 'Grip it' It sure looks like it :) Have you ever been down to the Stitching group at A Stitching Shop? It's always fun to meet up with local stitchers. I hope they start it up again post-covid!

I just discovered your channel and I love your work and tutorials (Mill Hill bead kits!). I am going through an episode of depression which has been pretty rough and knowing that you actually missed 3 stitches in your BEAUTIFUL water pump piece has given me hope that I can actually not be a perfect stitcher and not have to get so down about mess ups if such an experienced stitcher occasionally makes a snafu. THANK YOU! -Rhonda

Welcome!! Thank you so much for letting me know how my missed stitches inspired you 😊 We are so focused on perfection these days which can be so harmful to our psyche ( I'm guilty of it!). I say Embrace Imperfection!! Thank you for taking the time to say HI. Depression sucks, for sure 💕

Christine, you are enabling me with all your beautiful work. I just purchased my first Marjolein Bastin four seasons kit. It's the first one you stitched. I cannot wait to stitch it. The fabric is huge. How are you managing all that fabric?
@calico_whimsy2 жыл бұрын
Yay!!! You will Love that pattern!! 💕💕 I have a hard time managing the extra fabric. I try to roll it up and use either large binder clips or hair clips to keep it from unrolling. I've always wanted to try 'grime guards' but never have

Did you finish all the background on the waterpump mill hill before you attached the beads or did you add the beads first
@calico_whimsy3 жыл бұрын
I did all the stitching first if it was near where the beads go. Then after doing the beading, I went back and did all the background above the flower area. I don't think it really matters, though, because you can still do it after attaching the beads, it gets kind of annoying when your floss catches on the beads. 😀
