I’m so happy to see you and all your stunning projects! I’ve missed you too, Beth. Don’t underestimate the recovery period after moving; it ranks high in the stressors of life. Take time for self care and remember that settling in is a process. In the past, I have quickly put things in order at a new home only to find out the sunlight changed the paint color, the garden didn’t drain well in the winter, the kitchen triangle was awkward, etc. Now that I am approaching my 70th birthday, I try to be more patient and sit with the various projects long enough to observe and determine what needs to be done efficiently. Don’t have the energy to change things over and over again❤

Ah Beth. I'm a gypsy and feel the compulsion to move often. This last move did me in, so now I'm staying put. The village I've moved too is shite but my cottage is lush and it backs onto a Norman church and graveyard and I'm only 15min walk through the fields to a cost little sandy cove. Takes so long to unpack and find homes for everything, but at least you have the most important things, your cats and sewing. I've been wondering how your move went. There has been so much great content in May and June that I'm struggling to keep up with watching flosstube too! I love your Star Dragon, but I've got so much on the go right now I couldn't justify a new start in my own head. When you want to start Moon Deer, though, let me know; those colors are really calling to me and I'd love to stitch that one. 🪡👠
