Hello Emily, ours is a real log fire but so far this year we have not had cold enough weather to light it - we are about to get some cold air from the Arctic moving down southwards mostly affecting Scotland but in our little corner of the country we generally get away with a much milder climate. We have just come out of a period of anticyclonic gloom. Gloom is an absolutely accurate description of how the greyness was making us all feel. It's currently 48F. I have made some progress on Jane's Hussif (I pronounce it Huss rhyming with bus and if as in if I could, as you know it's from the word Housewife). I am about to do a line of four sided stitch and I asked Jane about it and she said, and I quote, "I use two strands for my version. Yes, they should be pulled firmly to make the little holes..." . I like the idea of working lines of the text with section as we go along on Hannah Green, that sounds like my decision to join the sal is progressing! Thank you for an enjoyable video and wishing you happy stitching, Teresa 👑🪡🧵♥

I would love to visit your little corner of the country someday! A real log fire would be great, and I could learn to knit socks! (I think I want to do that in 2025, would love your advice!) I will follow Jane's instructions as you so helpfully have quoted her. And I hope you'll join the Hannah Green SAL - I am very motivated by her birthday in 2026!

Daughter and grandsons’ visit-my stitching was on hold for four days! I’m going to do the border for Margaret Hutton, I think, which is a change of plan from stitching methodically from top to bottom, but I liked seeing yours done. Then on to the huswif preparation (thanks to Teresa for the pronunciation guide!). So much fun, so little time. 🕙

I am so worried always about borders not meeting up, especially if I think that I am going to count over from partially-done border sections to get other things positioned correctly!

I enjoyed seeing your stitching update. I was very interested on all the non fiction books you have read. They are now on my list to read:) Happy Thanksgiving.

Oh Emily, it looks so cozy over there! I have a hard time saying hussif as well. But that is a lovely project! Thank you for dividing up Queen of the May.- It looks very doable! I enjoyed Boys in the Boat and look forward to reading Code Girls and Dead Wake. Thank you for sharing your stitching and variety show topics!
