Hello Emily, it was good to see Jane Thompson again and to see that you enjoyed working on her after a break. I have my pattern from HATS for Hannah Green and am looking forward to starting her with you and Leslie in the New Year. I think Ashley will love her 'Gloria' - what a lovely and thoughtful gift. I am glad you have also found your counting on Jane's Hussif inexact as I, too, have stumbled several times and thank you for reminding me it won't matter as long as the next part lines up - I will definitely check that. I have made my Christmas cake and will feed it with some brandy on Sunday and as my son enjoys chocolate cake I think I will drop you an email for the Maida Heatter recipe (I just love that you can make Mad Hatter from from her name). I was amazed to see she was 102 when she died. My husband will be very interested in that as he is always telling me cake is good for you as he cuts the most enormous slices of any home baked offerings! Happy stitching, Teresa 👩🏻‍🍳🍫🍰♥

I agree with your husband, cake is good for you! It has all kinds of nutritious ingredients! I have mailed off the Gloria - I hope to hear soon. I marked the package all kinds of ways that she should NOT wait until Christmas but should open it immediately! Email me for the 86-Proof Cake recipe and I will ask you for your Christmas cake recipe in return, if you are willing to share it. Anything that requires feeding with brandy sounds yummy!
