Yay!!! So glad the arm is working out for you!! :D Your start and stop stats are AMAZING!! That's awesome!! Your New Years sounds like it was wonderful! :) So happy you're crafting with your mom! I love those yellows on the darker fabric! The honey pot: The perforated paper is really cool - does it tear easily?!n It's looking so lovely!! Ohh the stitching shelf - this is such an exciting project. I was typing out a question about the grid, but you answered it all! It makes me think: It'd be so cool to have an inch by inch grid and cross-stitch a D&D map on it.... ;p THE LESHY! I loooove this piece. I really liked seeing how you bag your projects. How do you keep all your project bags organized? Ophelia is going to be a gorgeous piece as well. I'm glad you enjoy working on it so much! Do you find that the amount you enjoy working on it correlates to how much you enjoy the finished piece? I love the butterfly project- it kind of reminds me of Pokemon evolutions... haha It's really cool that you featured in someone else's video! :D Love the youtube community when it happens!! You'll probably be more in the mood to work on the Stranger Things piece when the last season comes out!! The nebula looks SO beautiful. How many pages is Ragnarok total? You mentioned you have about a page done (it looks lovely!) The Needs No Paint reveal in this vid was really satisfying! Great work! I LOVE the tee shirt you made! OHHH the sweater you're making is looking absolutely GORGEOUS so far! Wow! It's SO COOL because it's going to be a piece of clothing that NOBODY else on EARTH has!!!! Completely unique with colours and how you're doing it. it's so neat

Hi Jill!!! The perforated paper is pretty tough... it doesn't tear easily, but you can cut through it with a normal pair of scissors. I was actually thinking of you when I was explaining all the parking stuff haha. A cross-stitched D&D map would be so cool! I don't know if 'organized' is the right word to describe it... I have a cupboard that I keep all my projects in, they just sit in there! I don't really have a method for sorting them right now... there's few enough of them (and most of the bags are clear), so I can always find what I'm looking for. That's an interesting question about the finished piece vs enjoyment... I actually don't think there's a very strong correlation. Like it DOES impact it, but I've definitely experienced a disconnect. Like with the Quaker Sister sampler... I really like those, but I had a hard time finishing the first one... even though it's BEAUTIFUL and I wanted it to be finished, I just wasn't picking it up. I didn't know there was a new/final season coming out for Stranger Things!! I'll definitely work on that project while I watch it. :) There are 16 pages in Ragnarok! It's prettty big.

Hello! I met you on the stitch across the pond February zoom call! on this video, i heard you mention that you had converted an image to a chart with pixel-stitch and pattern keeper couldn't use it. i have an image i just converted using same, and opened it in pattern keeper, same result. i also have markup-rxp and it couldn't detect the symbols from the pixel-stitch, either. i've also got an image of a painting that's in the public domain. i converted it to a chart using flosscross; patternkeeper recognized that grid and all 100ish symbols. just thought i'd share in case you hadn't used flosscross before. (i'm also evaluating a demo version of winstitch, which is $50 USD, looks pretty good.) i enjoyed your WIPs, esp because you aren't stitching what everyone else is 😀or, put another way, you're stitching MFE and Long Dog, for two, two of my favorite designers. happy stitching, terri

Hi Terri! Thanks for the tips around software. I also tried to upload my pixel-stitch pattern to markup-rxp... it's KIND OF working, but not great. I will have to try flosscross next time. I have used winstitch before for some casual designing, but haven't tried converting photos in it - I hope it works well for you! I really appreciate your kind comment, and am glad to hear you enjoy some of the projects I'm stitching! Long Dog and MFE are such great designers... Hope to see you again on Zoom. 😄

@@makingthingswithstring that's all of done with winstitch is play with images. It's very good, and I'm still learning. Because I have the demo I can't export to a pdf or pattern keeper but I'm very confident it will work 🤞

Could you please explain what a WIPGO board is and how does it work? Thanks.❤️🇨🇦
@makingthingswithstring
@makingthingswithstring 5 ай бұрын
Yes! It's a year-long challenge that was created by Jessie of Jessie Marie Does Stuff. You create a BINGO board (5x5 grid, numbered 1 - 25) and in each square you put a specific project or stitching prompt of some kind and a goal. Every month, Jessie draws 2 numbers and everyone tries to complete those 2 squares on their boards. Jessie has some videos explaining it in more detail, but let me know if you have any more questions! It's a fun way to make sure you get certain things done and randomize a bit what you work on.

@@makingthingswithstring Ahhaaaaa. I see. Thanks for the explanation. I’ve watched so many Flosstubes, even though I’m not a stitcher, but a Diamond painter. I’ve never known exactly what it is. Thanks again. ❤️🇨🇦
