Sew Beautiful. Missed you Lorene and Carol. Glad you made an appearance. I have a Marbeck Angel holding a lantern that my Aunt stitched and my cousin gifted it to me after she passed away. I thought it was a L&L but found out it wasn't. She did some beautiful L&L designs I would have liked but guess my cousin claimed them. She did a beautiful Norman Rockwell, a boy pushing a girl in a swing. She lived in a small town of about 800 people and it was so peaceful and quiet compared to where I live. I miss her dearly and think of her when I see that angel but many other things bring her to mind also. Have fun and I'm looking forward to your next video.

The nativity is wonderful! Here's A little background. I was a shop owner at the time this came out. The designer was Rebecca Waldrop. She designed for Serendipity Designs. The original market was in Charlotte N.C. All the companies decorated their booths.The year this came out, the booth looked like you were entering a church and the nativity sat on the altar. It was amazing!.!

Welcome back Carolyn. I actually bought the chart for this at the local church thrift store a couple of years ago. Didn't even know what it was but thought but for $1 I decided to take it home and look. What a find but know I will never find an affordable frame. I have wondered if I can't figure out a way to do it as one large piece. Thank you for showing it. I had never seen it done. MERRY Christmas from Missouri

My oldest WIP! I even have the frames. Once I am recovered enough from surgery it will be in my 2025 rotation. I also have the charts for the MarBek angels.
@carolynpearcy58538 сағат бұрын
I think i have all the marbek angels also...a couple as 30 year old wips! 😊. That's great that you have the frames. Evidently it is a very coveted item from comments I have seen on Facebook. It is no longer available except as a custom order which i am sure is quite costly. Blessings as you recover from surgery in 2025

I did the Nativity by Mar Bek - Serendipity Designs long long time ago. Back in the very early 2000’s. I stitch the entire piece - got it framed - the frame that it called for - at my LNS. I gave this to one of my former Pastor and his family. He collected Nativity Scenes. He also did tons of Embroidery and his Mom did too. It was a big huge Surprise for him and his entire family. I had it on display in the Narthex of my Church while they were on Vacation. It took me exactly two years from start to finish. My Entire Church kept it a Secret for two years. My Pastor and his family had no clue about what I was making for them for two whole years. They could not believe that the church kept it a secret for that long. It was a huge Surprise for my one Pastor and his family. To this day he still displays it in his home during the Christmas Season. Yours is so beautiful. My Church ask me to stitch this again and have it on display at Christmas time and I told them No. Enjoy looking at the Nativity Scene. ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️

So glad to see you, Carolyn❣️ What precious friends you and Lorene are to each other❣️ The nativity scene is a masterpiece and should be museum-worthy! Nobody in my family wants me to leave my cross stitch items to them 😪, so I want to sell it now and not have it end up in thrift shops later. You ladies have a great visit❣️ I wish I lived closer to Lorene....

I purchase needlework and cross stich items from thrift stores and estate sales. The items are loved as much as those I stitch myself. At estate sales I usually find out about the maker and pass that information along when anyone sees the item in my home. So I know when I am gone someone will still discover and cherish the work we create as stitchers.

What a treasure Carolyn. Your stitching is just beautiful and marvelous that you have the special frame. I bought the patterns at a stitching retreat so many years ago. I recently purchased all the threads and specialty fibers. I just need to decide on fabric. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Merry Christmas ladies!
