Got lots of that E6000 and different beads already just need to get some of those corsage pins. I can remember my Grandma seemed to have lots of those type of pins and wore them in her hats. Of course, she is no longer with us. I have a feeling she would have had of lot of different ones to work with. Thanks once again Helen for showing us how to make these.

Thanks Helen.. I've looked at the pretty pins that people show in their finishes and never thought about making my own. The glue tip is a great one. I've also used the Gorilla Glue with the brush.. and mine have done the same as yours. I went through three tubes before I decided it wasn't worth it, but I wasn't sure what else to use.
@helend.flosstube Жыл бұрын
I was disappointed that glue dried out so quickly, because it really was easier to use the little brush.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I wanted to take some to a retreat. Did you mention where you got your bead holder
You are such a good teacher. Thank you. This is likely a dumb question. How do you use counting pins? I assume to count stitches but not sure how it works! Do you count your stitches very much? I’m sure you have to be very careful that cats don’t get into your stuff! 🐈⬛🐈⬛🌺
@helend.flosstube Жыл бұрын
Emmy is into everything!! I don't use them for counting, but I know some people put a pin in after 10 or 25 stitches if they're doing a long row.

I have been wanting to make pins and so glad that you did a video. What size or length did you use for the pins? 2"?

@helend.flosstube6 ай бұрын
I've never had a problem with them tarnishing. You could always coat the pin with a layer of clear nail polish. I use that for charms to keep them from tarnishing.

What are counting pins used for in cross stitching
@helend.flosstube Жыл бұрын
I just use them to decorate finished pieces, but some people use them to mark off every 10 or 25 stitches if they're counting to measure something.
