Your channel, your rules. If it's important to you, it doesn't matter what others think. I love hearing about real life struggles - partly to know that I'm not alone. I love your ideas of focusing only on 10 projects. It's hard to be motivated when you NEED to stitch on something because you feel like you have to. I am excited to see your progress! As a person who has mental health struggles I love you talking about your bipolar. I think you are amazing.please don’t let the comments impact you. Also we should all stitch what me want. I needed to hear this, as my stitching right now feels so forced
@RandomStitcherКүн бұрын
Casey, thank you so much ❤️I can relate to that, absolutely, about that with the stitching feels forced. Hope you can turn it around somehow. I will definitely not let the negative comments affect me into stopping what makes sense to me, and talking about my mental struggles have always been important.

Hi Lone. I’m still here following along with you and love seeing your progress. I’m just silent 🤫 I agree with you with everything you had to say. You are the one living your life and you need to be happy. I’ve decided to make changes to my stitching also and so far it’s working. I’m usually a monogamous stitcher but sometimes I get overwhelmed with wanting to finish it and move on to the next project. So I’m trying out doing temperature stitching. But instead of a few stitches a day, I’m stitching on that project for the day. If I decide to carry it over for another day, so be it. It’s just for my comfort and not anyone else’s. Continue being yourself and do what makes you happy. ❤

Congratulations! I'm singing Elsa's Let it Go! song for you. 💕💕💕Your choices of which things to stop make so much sense. Some people find that collecting patterns is its own pleasure. I can relate to that, but I sure couldn't justify the expense! Sort of in a similar vein, I have a Pinterest page to save patterns I love, and I get plenty of happiness just from scrolling through them, like a child enjoying a favorite picture book.

Thank you ❤️you should see my shopping card on Etsy.... I put patterns in the card, but only rarely buy them. Sometimes its just my happy place, window shopping patterns lol

I think you are on the right track! Great goals with the objective of not overwhelming yourself. I think it was a very good idea to stop the two HAED projects and all of the games. (I have done two HAEDS and have realized just how much time and work they can be, and the other thing was the idea of “everyone else is doing it so I have to as well” mentality. I have lost my love of HAEDS now.) You can now concentrate on a limited selection of projects without feeling overwhelmed, and also enjoy the feeling of completing a project as well. It is a wonderful feeling! I love the Central Perk design! Friends is one of my favorite shows. I have a huge 24oz coffee mug with the Central Perk design on it. I would be lost without my huge coffee mug! LOL So yes! Having said all that, I think you have things well thought out and ready to go into 2025 with a new attitude!

Thanks Terri, I looove Friends too. Can you believe, that my husband are seeing the show for the very first time?? 🫨 We are watching it together now, from the start, and I am sooo jealous that he gets to watch it for the very first time lol. How is it going with your scissor collection? 😁

My sweet friend, life is too short to force ourselves to do what we are not enjoying. Especially in our hobbies. We stitch for the joy of stitching, if it doesn’t bring you joy, there is no point in doing it, and it’s ok to change your mind. Free yourself to make those decisions without guilt. It’s OK my friend. 😊🤗 Every day I only stitch what I’m feeling. If I don’t feel it, I’m not stitching it. And it’s ok. Always be kind and true to yourself . It’s not selfish, when you are true to yourself, your life is less stressed and you have more left in your gas tank for others. 😊 I’m here for you no matter where your channel goes! 🥰🤗

I feel like a Puffin sometimes too so you’re not alone…lol! I think it’s so important to be able to talk about our health issues instead of keeping them in the dark. Mental health needs to come to the forefront in society and not feel shame because of it. Also, I think your stitching plan is a great one and will take the pressure off. 👍🥰😊

I think it’s a good idea to cut back on WIPs. I know I’m doing that this year and I’m gonna just stitch what I want and not stick to any particular game or motivational stitching program. I’m just gonna pick what I wanna stitch and work on it. I find that I get too caught up in what I need to do and not what I want to do when it comes to my stitching and I need to realize it’s not a job but a hobby. I can’t wait to see your progress on all of your items.❤❤❤

Thanks Rachel, you are so right; its a hobby, not a job. I think for some, especially when you have a youtube channel, it can feel like that, it you are not careful and mindful about it. Hugs ❤️

I only stitch on Saturday's one cross stitch project at time because if i start more, I would I would get overwhelmed. The rest of the time, I knit socks 😊 x
@RandomStitcherКүн бұрын
I love socks, but only buy them lol... hate knitting socks, I always end up only do 1, and then I lost all love for the project and number 2 never gets done🤣

I deeply sympathize I have very severe depression and anxiety. Last year was the worst I struggled to get out of bed. I have taken a hit on all the things I love to do and I need to level I can stitch then burn out like you say its remembering to stitch the way that is best for ourselves. It is very easy to see others on line and copying someone else is often easier on your mind because when you are at either end of the depression it's just hard to think about things. I'm glad you talk about these things it helps me feel less alone.
@RandomStitcherКүн бұрын
Gemma, thank you so much for your kind words, I hope 2025 will be a better year, with less depression and anxiety for the both of us. I know how it feels to not be able to get out of bed, and loose all love for the things you normally love. Its a horrible horrible feeling. Much love and big hug from me ❤️

Someone telling u not to talk about being bipolar is wrong for saying it. That’s how suicides happen. Speak out and say what’s on ur mind. I’m bipolar and I talk about it a lot. ❤. I’ve learned how to relax with my stitching and not stress about it. I think ur doing a great job. Happy Stitching 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎄✂️🧵🪡❤️

Thank you so much, and yes; talking about it is just soo important. Nobody will benefit from being silenced like that. It only creates stigmatisation, and I think we - the world - are further along than that. Happy stitching to you too ❤️

I think its a good decision. 😊I feel like, just from watching you over sone months now. That everything that limits you or is a commitment for a longer period is too much. You need your freedom to do what you feel like on that day. Games will limit you to a certain project or certain amount of stiches. When you wanna do more you need to stop youself. Same when you like to work on another project. It maybe works for some but i think youre more of a free spirit. Besides that i think it was a good idea to try it and see for yourself. 😊 Talking with your husband about it and give yourself a few days to think about is great as well. 🥰 If i would order anything i like at first glance our home would be full of crossstich kits by now 🫣😅🤣
