Hi Andrew! Donner is so pretty, I love him. I have all of the reindeers, the sleigh and Winter White Santa. I am working on Santa right now and I am loving it. The more you work on your Evertote advent the more beautiful it gets. I can’t wait to see it finished. I might have to get there advent box next year. I love Celine Dion. I was able to see her concert when she was playing at Cesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. It was absolutely amazing it was well worth every penny. There was so much going on, on the stage that I would have liked to have gone again just to see what all I had missed. She is an amazing performer. She wasn’t just singing she was also dancing along with everyone on the stage. She even picked a little girl from the audience and sat with her and sang a song to her😢. It was so precious. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow ❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much! Oooh Winter White Santa is a great piece!! I love that you've got them all. That is amazing you saw Celine in Vegas! I always wished I could have. Sounds like an incredible experience and concert! Glad you got to enjoy that!

Happy bday, Andrew's mom! I hope she is having a good day. I love that she sends you all cookies. Such a lovely tradition. Personally I love the full look of 2x2 on 36ct fabric. I usually only stitch 1x2 if the stitches look too tight with 2x2. Donner looks great. Make a note that all your tails need to be 2x2 for the rest of his friends' patterns. Have a good weekend 😊
@therunnerstitcher13 сағат бұрын
It is a great tradition and I love eating them ha. I think 2 x 2 is what I'm leaning towards for that piece. Thank you for the input. I'm glad you're enjoying Donner! You're right they will all need to be 2 x 2 for the tails. Happy stitching!

Hello from Tennessee! It was wonderful to see you today and has been absolutely delightful to share my morning stitching with you every day this month! I'll have severe withdrawals next month😂😂😂. So the hubby and I watch all the Lord of the rings movies during Thanksgiving so I started the Hobbit House. 36ct (not called for linen... I decided to go rogue 😅) and one strand over 2. I'm going to start the Santa House on Christmas Day 😀. Thank you for your vlogmas videos. Love you bunches!

Hello! Oh good I'm so glad you're enjoying the morning stitching with these videos this month! Oh good to know you used 1 strand. Are you happy with the coverage? Exciting to start Santa's house! :)

Andrew you are doing a great job on Donner, I hope you get him finished today! I only stitch on 16 or 18 aida with 2 strands so can’t advise on that one! Happy Birthday to your Mom!
@therunnerstitcher13 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much! I think I am going to go with 2 strands :)

Happy Birthday to your Mom 🎉 way to burn through that Krynik 😅 Great job with Donner 🦌 I love one strand on 36 count but it is definitely a personal choice ! I don’t like thread that looks to bulky they bother me when they don’t lay orderly lol
@therunnerstitcherСағат бұрын
Thank you! Yes he sure used a lot of that stuff! I know what you mean about bulky thread. I think I'm going to try 2 strands and hope for the best ha.

I always use 2 strands on 36 (or 18ct aida). Looks so nice and full. Donner looks great
@therunnerstitcher13 сағат бұрын
Good to know! Thank you!

For a small on 36-ct I'd do 2 strands of floss, as long as the weave is not too tight, and the floss is able to glide through the holes. I mostly prefer 1 strand on 36, but I think this design needs to show the colors more intense.
@therunnerstitcher22 сағат бұрын
I agree too that this pattern needs to have the colors more clear and full. I'm leaning towards the 2 strands.

Happy birthday to your mom 🎉 Will you be visiting them for the holidays this year? I also noticed that Winston seemed a little move energetic this morning. Maybe he got to sleep in? Thank you for sharing your stitching! Looking forward to seeing Donner with all of their beads!

:). Glad you enjoyed the sweatshirt! I won't be going over the holidays but likely in the spring when it's a bit warmer :). Yes Winston wasn't quite so tired ha. I think he likes the weekend schedule too. Happy stitching!

Stitching with one or two strands of floss also depends on what fabric your using because all 36 count fabrics are woven differently.
@therunnerstitcher2 сағат бұрын
That's a great point! I think I'm leaning towards 2 strands on this one.

I love your sweatshirt, Andrew, and how you stitched one for you and one for your Mom. Did you use waste canvas or soluble canvas? Donner looks great. I am amazed at how fast you have (almost) completed it.

After watching your videos I think it would be fun to do an advent calendar. How did you find out about it?
@therunnerstitcher13 сағат бұрын
It is a really fun idea! I have had other advent calendars in the past but never a cross stitch one. I heard about the one through Evertote last year around January or February. I knew I loved Modern Folk Embroidery patterns so I took a chance and ordered it! There's a lot out there though.
