Here are some useful things that I keep at my stitching spot: 1) For finding and retrieving dropped needles: a telescoping magnetic tool and a small square of flexible magnetic material. You could use a magnetic Bingo chip wand (kids love them) or a flat refrigerator magnet. 2) For frogging: a mini Seamfix with silicone head for brushing off fuzz after removing stitches--has a seam ripper, but I use a separate sharper one; tweezers; a size 7 metal crochet hook for grabbing short floss tail to pull through my needle threader when I'm threading a needle that I've run under several threads on the back to secure it. 3) For me: a nail clipper and nail file; hair clips; handcream (I love GoldBond Healing Hydrating cream with Aloe.); lens wipes for cleaning glasses; 4) Lens cleaning cloth to wipe my lighted ring magnifier and my Android tablet that has Pattern Keeper and all my pdf charts installed. I use my ring magnifier, that's clamped to my side table, (in my recliner with footrest up) so that it is parallel to my face (like looking in a mirror) so that I sit back and don't hunch over when I stitch.

Yes mildliners are the best highlighters. I have a full set and my daughter is always trying to steal my stationary 😅. I store my Dmc almost in the exact same way.

Hi Megan I love Videos like this one. I love that Cart. I need to get a basket like yours to keep my Current Projects in. That is nice and big. I only use a Red Gel Fine Point Pen to mark off my Stitches on my Working Copy. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵✂️❤️

I think if you’ll love having the basket of projects! It’s so nice when I decide what I’m going to work on and have it all close by right next to me to stitch. Works great.

@@TheSeattleStitcher - Yes having a Basket next to your Stitching Spot really helps out a lot and it’s all in one place too which is the Basket. I found one on Kohls Website that is just as big as yours is. I haven’t bought it yet. I want to though. ❤️

So LOVELY Megan to watch and listen “to your history” of organizing your crafting supplies as A Busy Wife and MOTHER ….and helps to alleviate some the stress when thinking of age appropriate boundaries for our Kiddos……also it help visual learners within our community to see how found objects can be utilized ie clear plastic as a coaster like piece…..Happy Memorial Day 2024!

Loved seeing your setup and organization! I have young kids too. My youngest is 16 months old and so I have my craft cart next to my couch/stitchy spot with a baby gate around it. I can still get to it, but she can’t and I can keep all the sharp things there without her getting to them.
@TheSeattleStitcher6 ай бұрын
Omg that’s so smart. I could totally put a baby gate around mine when he’s older LOL. Baby proofing our craft carts omg if someone told me that would be me ten years ago I would have laughed in their face. 🤣💀💖 mom life.
