Another wonderful project!! The pattern is perfect for winter. I stitch whenever the mood hits me or I’m just not busy. I try to stitch most days.

Very sweet drum. My stitchey time is predicated on my chores ...when chores and errands are done then it's my time!

Thanks. I love to stitch in the evenings. I'm not a morning person.

That design is perfect for making into a drum, but I never would have thought to do that. So clever to leave off the words so you have a winter item, too. I don’t have a set stitching time, but I need to so that I can finish more projects.

It's easy to get sidetracked. My problem is the internet. Facebook and KZbin take up way too much of my time.

For the first time you’ve finished a project into a drum you did a great job! Super cute and nice that you can keep it out for winter. 🎄

Hi! I stitch on and off all day, but I do mornings consistently. The afternoons are times that I veer off into cooking, cleaning, other crafts. The evenings I go back to cross stitch as long as the energy holds out. Retirement has given me options I didn’t have when working. Best to you 🎄🧑🏻🎄⛄️

It’s wonderful to have all that free time to stitch. I love being retired.

The primitive blues are my favorite to stitch. I am powering through my last Christmas stitch for this year. I am ready to stitch winter. ❤ your drum finish. I stitch in the afternoon after my chores and the noon meal dishes are done. I am also a monogamous stitcher.

Love the drum finish…thanks for sharing. I like to stitch in the mornings when the natural light is good. Unfortunately, I have another commitment tomorrow and not able to attend our Stitchy Saturday in Waynesville but enjoy and Happy Holidays to everyone there.

It is so fun to see a project come to life. 🪡 I have 5 now, that need to be fully finished. I might do them on Sunday.

My stitchy time is based on my "house chores" I try to take care of business before I stitch. Plus I know we shd not sit for long periods of time so I try to break it up. Enjoy your stitchy meet up.
@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts8 күн бұрын
That is a great way to manage your time! I sit way too much.

Is there any finish you can’t do perfectly? The drum is perfection! How do you make the cute covered candy canes?
@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts7 күн бұрын
Thanks Sheila. The candy canes are easy. Just wrap torn fabric strips around the candy cane, at an angle, hot gluing as you go. You can either coffee stain them afterwards by brushing the coffee mix on, or you can coffee stain the fabric ahead of time, which would probably be easier.

Love it as a drum! I’ve wanted to try one. What did you stuff it with or is there something inside it fo the drum shape?
@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts6 күн бұрын
It's stuffed with fiber fill. Vonna Pfeiffer has a tutorial.
@lindadays89338 күн бұрын
What do you use for form on drum?
@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts7 күн бұрын
You stuff it very tight. At the ends, you use a circle of cardboard. I think Helen D has a tutorial video.

What did you use to get the cylinder shape on your drum effect? Right now i just stitch when i have time
@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts8 күн бұрын
I think I used a piece of cardboard for the circle shape on the ends.
