Hi Kea, fairly new sub here. My daughter has epilepsy. Her seizures started at age 7, and she is now 23 and happily married. She has a VNS implant... I COMPLETELY understand being an advocate for your child and celebrating the wins! Hugs to you and your family. Also, I too have been journaling in a Hobonichi sine 2016. So wonderful to hear you so positive about the doctor’s appointment….it took till my youngest was 19 to get the right diagnosis. You have three littles and one that takes even more energy….we are amazed you have time for flosstube at all. I am a piano teacher and love hearing that you have the piano going at your house. Thanks for the sticker company recommendation...I LOVE my planner - Plum Planner. I lean more functional (lots of meetings and such for work), but the idea of a sticker pack to tie together a whole month is intriguing! Last year I came back to stitching so when I saw a Book of Days for the first time, I KNEW I had to use it this year...and it gives me a place to use some of the more decorative stickers that are larger that typically don't fit in my daily planner!

I’m embarrassed to say it’s been quite awhile since I’ve watched you Kea. Have been trying to limit my time watching KZbin. So happy you were able to get in earlier than expected to see the specialist. That’s wonderful. I love stitching houses too and love your house with the bricks. After seeing the Punky Purl binder on Stitch Roadies I had to break down and ordered one for small Christmas projects. But I understand what you’re saying about one to hold full size charts. Hi Kea, I love the expandable file folder idea. After seeing your idea, I just ordered some small expandable file folders that have about 5 sections. All my 12x12 New Year starts are small ornament designs. I will put 4 of them in the organizer so I can just “grab it and go” and I will have a choice of WIPS to work on. Thank you for such a great idea!! Keep the floss tubes coming. I always love to see what you are stitching 😊

My craft space is also overrun and not inspiring. I have started destashing a lot of things on IG. I am at the point where I feel like I can let things go that I know I won't create with since I've had a lot of it for 5+ years. Mostly yarn and fabric! One of my quilt wips uses Gingham Gardens! Is that the quilt you are referring to making with the layer cake blocks you received from Liz? I’ve been thinking about doing that one with some Christmas layer cakes I have. Do you know how large of a quilt that would make if you use the whole layer cake for one project. I think in your original video you did three projects from one layer cake. Kea, I have a special needs son also. He’s not as severe as your son but it is wonderful to find a doctor who understands and can help you navigate the special needs territory! I totally understand your elation at finding such a doctor! I love your folder idea! It looks like it would suit your needs very well! Several years ago I bought a stand up square bag from Thirty-one (can’t remember the name of it, that holds my WIP rotation pieces. I use the Tiny Decisions wheel, an App on my iPhone, for my rotation. It is easy to use & I spin it everyday to see what to work on next. You can make your own rules, like spin it every 2 or 3 days & work on that WIP for that period of time! I find that I don’t get bored this way. That may help you too!

Kea: I am so happy for your that you were able to see the specialist. I am also a Special Needs Mom..both of my adult sons have special needs. When my oldest, Brent, was born everyone would say "I am so sorry." There was a nurse who came in and said "Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful little guy. Remember you aren't just his mommy but his advocate, and do your job well." Brent will be 30 in April, but in those years this was the best advise anyone could give me. Thanks for sharing your love of cross stitch and quilting. I also use both as my solace. God Bless.

I need a professional to tidy, each week I organize, then I hide stuff on myself!!! So glad they called you about the cancellation. Nice window color change. Thread anxiety is no joke. I know it is spelled different than we pronounce it, but Porpoise = is a mammal like a dolphin. That color name made me stop & think when I first saw it too. I hope this made you LOL, think Flipper. My piece of Frieze is very light in hue, not sure what I will use it for yet. Nice to be able to decompress with our stitching. Love the "Remember Me" and "Gifts From My Garden". Good to hear your medical news. When you were showing the meditation book I was thinking how wonderful it would be if you added a personal note beside them cause it looks like you might have room. I know some people think it’s terrible to write in a book but I recently learned of a practice where a lady draws inspired art in her Bible as she does her devotions and it helps her meditate on what she’s just read.

Thank you for asking! I am a primitive and Sampler stitcher on high count fabrics like 40,46,56. While Nathan really enjoys things like Ink Circles, band samplers, and repetitive motifs on 40 counts.

We really enjoy Pat Carson size 28, but those don’t exist anymore. I just ordered some different ones to try, I think called Piecemakers. I’ve tried John James 26 and 28 and they are nice and pretty accessible. I’ve tried Bohin size 28 and they’re very smooth. Sidenote: I’d say if you find one that you enjoy, buy it in bulk. It’s much more cost effective.
