It's about time Samsung stepped it up in the audio department. I'm a music junkie and audio always comes first when it comes to a phone. With Dolby Atmos, this phone is a beast and I'm getting it.

1. Don't disable any of Samsung apps if possible, as it can often cause data inquiry error loops(disabling certain Bixby services was found to be okay). 2. Avoid suspicious apps even in the playstore, and avoid too many unnecessary overlays(certain poorly designed, rogue apps can cause problems in the background). 3. Don't close apps in multitasker unless necessarily because the OS optimizes your phone this way(this also applies to iOS, which is why they removed their "close all" despite complaints). 4. Not sure if fixed, but certain magnet cases interfered with touches and caused severe random lag. And sometimes it will just optimize on it's own by learning different app usage behaviors over time. Not sure if it will help everyone, but it definitely kept my galaxy phones smooth as butter for years without a single reset needed, even with 150+ apps installed. Before, they used to lagged like crazy within a month.

Samsung phones aren't designed, to work together, they are assembled not built, the best thing you can do is charge them up and reboot them regularly, if you close apps they still run in the background and take up RAM. Same thing with a PC or Laptop. The way you use it is not the way it was tested, except for the default apps and Samsung apps. Samsung's will last a year before this becomes a big issue, but it's as designed not a manufacturer defect. The fact that they break so easily is a bigger issue actually

I jumped from the S8+ to the S9+ Like you said performance. More memory, better camera, relocated fingerprint scanner, stero speakers, Dolby Atmos, brighter screen. The body style is on point, no need to change what works. Apple S series would add a couple new features, and call it a day. Samsung added appx 8 new features to the S9+ Caught the promotion Verizon was running, so I saved $300 beans......bottom line upgrade

i feel you with the IR blaster bro, you re right, you never know when will it come handy, for example last thursday i was at college and the air conditioner was turned off, the guys that have all the controllers (tv, projectors, air conditioner) were nowhere to be found, then a guy pull off his smartphone and use it to turn ON the AC, man! that was great, just imagine only u on that situation with no IR Blaster like me. #BRINGBACKIRBLASTER

In the UK, we only got 64gb for S9 and 128gb for S9 Plus. My 2016 Audi S3 has wireless charging built into the armrest, no way is it a gimmick.

That is a long wait to have. When the Note 9 is out, we will have rumors about the all-new S10, which is the 10th anniversary of the S line. Then you are very likely to continue your wait for the S10, and it goes on forever. Don't wait, if you want the S9+, go for it.

My Galaxy is racist.....LOL. I find the smart stay feature does not work with dark face. I think it needs light reflection to determine that you looking at the phone. I tested it with some light skinned people and it worked fine. Just an observation.

Flossy Carter I got my Samsung Galaxy s9 plus from Verizon on the 17th and I loved it. The first one I got had a defective power button so they sent me another brand new one and this one is running great. I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy s8 plus and its so much faster which is crazy.
