hey with this phone when using the flashlight app , when you turn off the display does the flashlight turn off or stay on ? i know with samsung when using the flashlight app i can turn display off and use the flashlight and not have to worry about accidentally touching the screen .

I don't think you have to deactivate fingerprint scanner, just let your phone lie flat and swipe up on the lockscreen to type in passcode instead of using the scanner

Flossy Carter I'm not perfect, noone and nothing is, but you may always try Trusted Devices to pass the lockscreen when the phone is connected to your smartwatch/bluetooth headphones/car

The point I was making is about the placement. Of course you çan use trusted locations but that's not security because if you leave the phone on a table, anyone can still unlock it.

Flossy Carter Yeah, but there's no ultimate placement for the scanner, the back is bad when you don't want to pick the phone up, the front is meh for when taking out of the pocket and the side is kinda not comfortable enough when the phone is on the table, but still accessible, but for the expense of accuracy. Still not a dealbreaker though :)

+KleX Yeah gotta put the FP scanner somewhere, back seems best to me. When the phone is laying down and locked you can use smart lock as you suggested or just put in a pin.

You can pin your screen before you give someone else your phone. That way they can't switch to another app, can't open your stuff running in the back, and can't go to your home screen. They are just stuck on whatever you show them.

Hey I got some questions 1.I is the USB type c to type c the fast charging cable? Is the cable enabling fast charging or is it the powerbrick that comes with it? 2. I have T-Mobile, is there a native Visual voicemail app or will I have to install the carrier specific app? same question for hotspot. 3.Is the vibration strength customizable? 4. The fingerprint scanner looks pressed in, is it at all clickable does it do anything else? 5. Is the camera always small sized or can you have a fullscreen camera too? 6. Are there any nexus specific or must have apps for this phone?

Thanks for the frank review. On your usage did you find the paint coming off from the back of the phone around the camera module or the edges? I bought the phone yesterday in graphite color and that is the only thing that worries me regarding this phone!

One thing I noticed was a lot of the screens almost seemed to have like a greenish/yellowish tint when looking at a white page, compared to my iPhone 6 which was more white.

+Flossy Carter about the split screen, i listen to youtube music on my iphone all the time and still do other sit, you dont have to close youtube you can still get audio and use the phones audio controls while browsing other sites not sure about on this phone but it works on iphones once i start the youtube music video i hit home button ,the music stops then you just swipe up from the bottom to access the audio controls and press play then you can go to the browser on another app and the music still plays without the video on the screen, so i don't see why this cant be done on android, but i'm not familiar with adroid

Abe Ibrahim type in Google: download Amazon underground app. Make sure the URL is from Amazon Then once you have that, download Amazon video from there. Should be able to watch movies and TV shows on android.

Call them and tell them you need a Nexus 6 SIM card, they'll send it for free. The phone won't work without it.

Developers options will give you split screen.

If you go to about phone in setting, tap build number 7 times, then the back button, you will see a new option call developers option. From there you can chose split window. I love your videos. Keep up the great work!

First they cry about Android being open and freedom then proceed to want every android to be "stock" android, Then fanboys bashes Apple's Lightning cable but hype up USB-C, Next they hyped up about wireless charging on Nexus 4, 5, and 6 but now that its gone on the 6P its suddenly ok...because its a Nexus. Nexus elitist accept all of Google flaws like one speaker sounding louder then the other on the 6P but Google says it by "design." what a fucking joke. They complain about iOS being locked down but Google make tight restrictions on Android to other OEMs. They talked trash about Touch ID gimmick on the 5s...but here we are with Nexus hype fingerprint.
