Went today on green banks by concrete cube drain. Loads of good bites but drew a blank. The bait from Anglers corner was amazingly fresh and the guys in the shop were so helpful. Thanks so much for this vid.

Better there on a lower scale tide 👍 try around the ash tips or boating club area on the higher ones

Hi Wayne, great vid. Planning a trip up from Poole later this year as Covid blew that away before Christmas. Had to promise the other half a Christmas shopping weekend away to get the OK... I have spotted the area in front of the caravan site to the west but you seem to be up by the Loughor Boating Club, is that right and if so how far past it? I want to try both spots over the weekend. Also I know smaller tides are best, but does day or night make any difference or more the tide state. Will Anglers Corner be OK with an Englishman prizing some Maddies from them :)
@waynecoco13 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike , thanks for that . When I fishing for flounder I find fishing in daylight produces much more fish . I’d target fish from around the boat club between November and February as this is when the flounder move further up . Before and after those dates I’d stick with fishing closer to the caravan park . Look for features and gullies that may hold fish . There are rocks in some parts of the river so if it’s bass you want , fish near them . Low tides are always easier , and produce more fish with both bait and lures . I no longer work at the shop but I’m sure they would have some available . Good luck and let us know how you get on 👍

You were baiting up the second rig, after that first little knock, whilst you were talking to the camera the rod went right over, the first thing i thought was that looks like a bass, definitely not a flounder bite. interesting to see you online not in the shop. Cheers. Lee. Ps what were them apocalyptic noises at minute 37:59 and minute 38:07? The foundry?
@waynecoco13 жыл бұрын
When using soft rods I’ve had many a flounder do that 🙈 looking back it could well of been a bass , I didn’t hook it this time the reason being my hooks were a little small . Yes the noise was probably from the works behind lol .

Good vid mate,,only got back into fishing two years ago as I'm 35 now and done with the night time lifestyle and hangovers lol..last time I fished there was when I was twelve with the old man,,we used to fish the Swansea side in the little old car park and walk under a little bridge if you get me..is the mark your on a short walk up past the boating club? As i been thinking of loughor for a while and now the diesel spill is all good and winter here your video has made me decide on going there end of the month sometime,if I go there il call in to see if you got maddies ect..caught my first flounder there and schoolie on my first ever fishing trip as a kid with my dad,,the old man also lost a rig but went down early next morning and managed to hand pull it back in by luck and chance and there was a flounder on it alive and well but took it home (true story) lol..hope to see some more vids maybe around mumbles Gower ect,good to see close to home areas fishing nice..stay safe 👍
