Flow Fuse Hybrid Snowboard Bindings!! The Best Rear Entry Binding On the Market?!?

I got some new Flow Fuse Hybrid Bindings and have tested them out a few days on the snow. Overall they have been pretty awesome and convenient and I’m super stoked to see more from them. I had the old Flite 2 model back in the day and had a lot of issues with snow in the binding and not being able to fit a boot in. So bad that if my bindings were even tightened just a little bit, I couldn't get my boot in at all sometimes... Seems like it may have been fixed with the offset hinge on the highback though, have you had any issues with that? Looks like Flow has come a long way in the last 10+ years, interested in picking up another pair.

No I have not! Very little snow will get packed into the binding bc of the foam cushion that is under foot. The only issue I’ve had so far getting my foot in is when I accidentally forget to push down the lock mechanism for the straps that holds them at the setting you want. Other than that there’s been no issues getting my foot in unless the binding was simply too tight

These dont look as bad as I thought they were. They actually seem to have more room than the supermatics do in terms of finding your boot in.

I’ve heard some people say that as well. So far so good for me and no issues. They have been pretty good as far as room to slide in

I've been riding the Flow NX2 Hybrids for 5 years now, with 3 of those years living in resort, so full seasons, and they've held up amazingly well. Nidecker have been super helpful with spares (flow sold to Nidecker a few years back, hence the Supermatic coming about) so mine are still working fine. I'm so used to this system now that I never have to sit down to strap in, which as a 50 year old bloke is great for saving my aching body! The hybrid is the one if you ride powder, as you can still use it like a conventional binding if you get stuck. Trying to slide out the back of these in the deep stuff isn't fun! I'm looking at new bindings at the moment and will definitely go for a Flow Hybrid again

Heck yeah dude. I’m a big fan. They’ve been great for me. Especially if you can vouch for sustainability. I wish I was able to ride more but being in the Midwest I’m pretty limited. Either way, I appreciate the comment and keep rippin 🤟🏽

did you find the toe strap particularly hard to get adjusted right? Adjust it million times, but every time I step in to mine, the strap falls in front of the boot and I had to pull it up.

I haven’t struggled with that. The only time I struggle with the straps is when the buckle to hold them in place gets popped up for one reason or another. Other than my own error they seem to do well with staying put

I love Flow bindings but they do have a quirk that may put some people off and that is because of the cable link, the bindings give a very strong heel side turn which makes the heel toe response with Flow bindings kinda lop sided. Toe side turns are not by any means weak but its that the heel side turn is soo much stronger.

I would agree. That’s a good way of putting it to words as well. Part of it is how I have it setup as well. I have it setback a slight bit which also may cause that

How did they hold up when you took them out west bro?

They were phenomenal. But I also wasn’t blessed with powder like I hoped. There were some stashes but more slush and Ice than anything. With that being said they were great

They are so easy, I have been riding them for 15 years and all the bad press is mostly user error where they aren’t set up correctly.

@@gwoodsy6872 exactly. Don’t get me wrong I was skeptical as well. But I legit couldn’t be happier with the results. Just as fast as the skiers

I just picked up the hybrid straps but having a hard time getting in them easy…. Maybe because I have very big feet… but wondering if the ones without toe straps are more easy to step in to?
