Modeling paste or heavy gel to achieve the stucco texture would be fun to use in this painting too. You could mix your colour in with it or paint over it. I like the credit card suggestion someone made. I have used this to create texture and you can do a lot with it. Depending on the thickness of the plastic, you can get all kinds of effects while varying your pressure while applying or scraping off. The palette knife gives you more control, but depends on your technique and what you're going for. There's so many options and its fun to explore. Fun painting!

😮😢 I'm so mad at me. I wanted to watch this live yesterday which was Tuesday. I wasn't feeling well. It was also my birthday. And all I did was struggle with trying to feel better. But I'm watching on the replay today (Wednesday). I love this painting and when I'm 💯% I will be painting this. LOVE 💕 you Cinnamon and Jon - you both are the best. I always tell people You are my mentor when I paint. I even paint my own stuff and ideas that I have now. I would never have gotten to this point with out you. I have a style that's not perfect but I'm getting better the more I paint 🎨🖌️. I just want to say Thank you for the last 6 years of studying with you. 🎉❤ So my question was/ is: for the stucco can I color some white gesso and get a nice thick medium? My paint brand I use is Sax and sometimes not as heavy as I would like it to be. Thanks.

I am not sure how the gesso would hold up either, it may give you the results you are looking for. But a good modeling paste like impasto paste or heavy gel paste would work. They also sell crackeling paste and stucco paste. 💟

How do you keep the colors so bright? The acrylic paint gets dull after it dries

Mine gets dull as it dries as well. You can fix that by using a satin varnish that will even the finish and brighten up the colors again 💙
