Jordan Clemons I mean is it that hard to believe? Listen to that tracks production. Artists like Yea and Nicki don't really try to experiment that far out of their comfort zone. That's why features like Rocky and Q make sense seeing as their fellow artists who like to experiment with what traditional hiphop is. I'm sure someone like Yea loves what Tyler is doing but can't see himself really blending well with what Tylers doing.

What do you mean ? A lot of Artists don’t even write their music and it’s been that way for decades or they don’t have the skill to do it which is fine, so they get help. However, as a rapper you definitely need to write your own wap when you claim to be the beat rapper/have the beat bars. A artist like Tyler is so rare. He actually puts so much detail and thought into his projects. AND HE PRODUCES HIS OWN MUSIC AND HE DONT EVEN SAMPLE HARDLY!!! None of his albums sound the same. NONE!!! A lot of rappers /other artists make the same albums back to back with then same lyrical content. It’s crazy how it sells and does well too. I’m glad Tyler is getting so much love and deserves so much more tho.

writing is different for rap and singing. you can write the most beautiful song ever but not have the ability to sing it, but rapping is literally all about the writing & what youre saying how youre saying it. so if you dont write your raps youre probably less credible as a rapper

They're basically just letting you know they don't think they can do whatever ideas you have justice. It usually isn't personal. I mean Tyler being Tyler he can be seen as an outsider. But you could also say he's massively successful in his own lane. It's entirely possible it was just too far out of their element, at which point declining is more out of respect than not wanting to fw you. You can still be cool and all, it's just understood that they can't really help you with that project. Happens all of the time. Probably 2 of those for every 1 good collab that makes it out.

Tyler truly is a creator. Everything on this record has a purpose. There is a story behind every loop and sample. Tracks and verses are where they are at for a specific reason. I've said this before but Tyler is one of the only rappers in the game who is a visionary artist. The record as a whole sounds like the album art, being a portrait of Tyler himself. After dissecting this album, you feel like you know Tyler in person, and I never get that from any other Hip-Hop album. Tyler goes down as a GOAT just for that reason in my opinion. He's incredible.
