Lovely performance. Why is the "t" not aspirated in the singing of the word "beauty"?

i think it’s because this is supposed to be a really gentle and relaxed piece. i feel like if the “t” was aspirated it would take away from the gentle and relaxing feeling that we get from this song.

I sang this in high school. Pretty song good job. Suggestions only more pauses for feeling. On “More dear to me her little head”. Needs to me softer, slower with feeling not sung out loudly. Same on “than earth, or sky or sea!” After ending my flower of beauty, PAUSE she.
