Love this song so much. As a younger fitter man I turned up in Grangemouth (Eastern Scotland) with a bunch of Orange Lillies. The Worthy Master's wife had laid on such a spread of food and drinks for everyone I went outside and planted them in an empty milkbottle (those were the days)

my gran used to sing this to me all the time..I'm so happy I found this version! It took me ages, all the others seem to be of Bobby Parks singing it!

I kept myself a lily - the biggest bloom and stuck it in the buttonhole n my suit. It ruined my suit but I was so proud that day. Anyway its my bonny wee new grandaughters name and my families favourite flower. It's also the Orange Lily of Scotland.
