Supplies:
10" Wreath Frame
2 Rolls of 10" poly burlap color of your choice, I used the purple
1 Roll of 10" poly burlap Olive Green or any Green
Plastic Canvas Mesh
8" and 4" Zip Ties
Coaster Size Plastic Canvas Mesh or just Plastic Canvas Mesh cut.
Deco Tubing, you will need at least 10 - 15 yards
Wire
Felt to cover the back.

Julie, not only is the finished flower beautiful, your tutorial steps are so very clean. I also like the listing of all supplies and where you get them. When I like a mesh wreath I like to know where the mesh was purchased.. As a beginner, it would be nice to see a video where so many of the basics are explained. Again, a very pretty wreath!

This s the one I want to make to make, Ms Julie…but I want to make it with yellow burlap and check yellow burlap….so I should start with the solid yellow 10” square burlap first, right? How many’s of of each should I cut again? Not the green, but the yellow and the checked yellow? I had rather have purple, but I have yellow, so will go w/with it…Thank you so much for the tutorial!!! I saw where we need 10 wide but how many ft/ yards do we need ? The 10 inch wide comes in different lengths. Thank you in advance for your reply. The wreath is gorgeous!

Good morning! I have bought my 10 inch frame from Amazon, and I notice it only has 4 brackets not 5. Does that matter? I have made the Buffalo Check wreath and it's beautiful. Thank you for your video's.

It won’t matter but you will just need to still a lot for “5” sections if that makes sense? You will still need the same amount of petals.

👍👍👍TIME SAVER... I feel like it takes me so much less time to make one of your Wreaths, (which I absolutely love by the way,) when I pre-attach the zip ties to the Wreath form before making the petals. Then I just slide the petal into the attached zip tie and tighten it. It's that simple, and it seems to save so much time. Just an idea I had,try it, or don't try it, it's up to you. But for me, in my house, it's definitely a TIME SAVER!😉... Thanks for taking the time to read my comment.

This is a great tutorial! Thank you! I subscribed! The wood burning tool is a game changer. I have a question. I have a terrible time with fraying on deco mesh. Have you ever tried using the wood burning tool with deco mesh? I’ve been tempted to burn the edges with a lighter (like I do when I make fabric flowers), but I wasn’t sure what would happen. Thanks in advance !

You can definitely use the wood burner with deco mesh but remember to use a mask or cut it in a well ventilated area.

Which cutting board is best to use with a wood burner? Also, does the wood burner work on deco mesh too or will it burn/melt it too much? I really love this wreath. It’s so pretty. How much of each color do I need? I don’t remember if you said in the video or not.

You will need two rolls of the poly burlap for the petals and one for the leaves. The wood burner will work on most deco meshes and i use a glass cutting board, I have them in my amazon affiliate shop here under the “wreath making must haves” www.amazon.com/shop/julieswreathboutique

👍🏻 Another BEAUTIFUL Wreath! TYFS! I love the petal combination. Your creative mind has been busy lately with these new petal ideas. After watching your 2 previous videos with the double petals (where you cut them together & the ends melted to each other), I was thinking that maybe you could do that same process with 2 colors of green for your leaves. I’m hoping that made sense. Thank you for showing the difference between the Poly Burlap & the Poly Deco Mesh. I can definitely see the reason that you prefer the Poly Burlap. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why 🤷🏻‍♀️ anyone would ever give you a thumbs down. I’ve been binge watching ALL your Christmas wreathes, poinsettia wreath and I’m in LOVE with this technique! I make grapevine wreaths with flowers and bows but never thought about this medium. I’ve seen wreaths made out of raffia or that mesh ribbon where they just wrapped it around to make the first type wreaths seen with this material. I also make square coasters using the 10-14 gauge mesh and yarn. (I know...I much be older lol). I LOVE purple, but my front door is black (builders choice not mine) so my purple wreaths don’t show up as well. 😩. I have made wreaths for all seasons! What I’d like to know is what type of mesh, burlap or the type ribbon you’re using would be appropriate for an outside door? I face somewhat NW so I get the sun against my door in the afternoon. My porch is covered but here in Texas we get storms, tornados and wind so what type is relatively waterproof. I make my bows using non waterproof ribbon and so far no issues. I’d LOVE to make this type of wreath but am not sure what kind of deco mesh or material I should use for a front outside door? I belong to all your social media including FB 👍🏼. BTW, I watch ALL your videos all the way through. You’re EXCELLENT at describing what tools, sizes of materials you are using and how to make the product shown. I’ll still use your videos I’ve saved (all of them) to follow along until I’m more of a pro at it like you are! Why are you not using the roller blade to cut the poly burlap?

Because the wood burner slightly melts the edges to reduce the fraying once you cut the mesh.

If you dont have any of the plastic canvas for the back couldn't you just cut a splatter screen to the size you need and attach it?

You could, just cover the back of your wreath with felt or something like that.

Make sure to measure your burlap mine was 11" not ten wasted a roll of yellow burlap.

Love your wreaths! So beautiful! Love your tutorials too! Great job on instructions. I’ve been searching poly burlap mesh and noticed it comes in 21” rolls as well. Have you ever used it for wreaths? Cutting it in half and having two 10” rolls.

Thanks for watching! if you cut a 21” in the middle you will have so much fraying that it wouldn’t be worth saving a few dollars for the roll. Would definitely recommend 10”

To be safe...there rolls but I would hope you could do it in two. You will need to add at least another layer of petals or your middle would need to be really large.

This was a great tutorial. I had trouble getting my petals to lay right and the more I fought with them the cut edge unraveled. Its an expensive project so I wont be trying it again. But yours truly is a beautiful wreath. Thank you.

Hi Julie, your wreath is absolutely beautiful and my favorite color. I was wondering what the diameter of the wreath measures once it is finished, I am going to attempt to make my first one, i have a very tall door that measures 36" across and want to make sure i finish it big enough for my door. I love YOU'RE Instructions they are easy to follow. I have watched quite a few people that are doing the Instructions how to . I get really frustrated sometimes just watching, nothing is organized don't have everything together how to do their Wreath, they fumbling around talking to low plus talking to them self . It is soooooo frustrating that I either click of or fast forward, you on the other hand do one section move away finished one whole row and then to the next until the next row. Easy to understand. Now the only problem I have getting on your site on Amazon I see all the tools etc.but can't find any of the Poly burlap and I mean nothing. I watch you on KZbin.
