your tenacity is priceless - I kept thinking if that was me, I would be saying "that's enough for today" and it would never get finished - 10/10 for boundless energy

I'm so impressed that you made these especially when you cobbled together pieces of scrap. For some reason steel tool chests and draws have always been fenced off from the DIY part of my brain. I think I subconsciously imagined a level of precision beyond the humble diyer. You've given me much food for thought. Keep the great videos coming.

Good evening James. Thanks man, that's great to hear. Like you , I kinda thought the same for a very long time. I suspect if you were buying the materials, sliders and charging your time, it would be ridiculous - but if you enjoy the build and have the scrap laying about...

Amazing! I love upcycling!! Don't think too much what other could think about what you make. If it works for you, then it's perfekt! There are always people that know everything better, BUT never do it!! And you two for sure are makers!! And great ones in my opinion!

Despite the misplaced mounting studs, it still turned out brilliantly!! Say nothing; act casual!

I really hate those toenail clipping rain dreams, but at least you came away with actual inspiration. Mine usually just end in a day full of lingering dread. Anyway, nice bird and great job on the lathe!

Also, I like that you cobbled together the drawers from scrap rather than create more scrap from new sheets.

Okay, one last comment. I really like yours and the lady's energy. You handled that mismeasurement of the floor studs like angels. There was a time in my life where I might have punched a wall instead of laughed at a mistake like that. I wish I had more neighbors that were like you.

Doo Doo happens. If you aren't F$%^ing up, you aren't doing enough!! Looks good. I am currently in the research phase of starting a small shop like yours. You inspire me to build anything I need! (As long as it saves a few satoshis..)

8:00 if you hang the drawers with 2 strings on two corners instead of 1 in the middle they will stop spinning around like a ballerina. Get a strong magnet to hold the strings if you don't want to drill/tap.

Did you considered to make upper drawer as a chips drawer? I know U have chips pan under lathe, but having it as a drawer U can simply slide and clean is sooooooo convinient in my case.

I definitely see a engine hoist modification video in your future. Adding a safe way to precisely lower the boom... And I feel your channel pain with the misplaced anchor bolts. Sometimes we need to make these mistakes to remind us no task is less worthy than another. They all require full attention. Nice job on the drawers etc...

I would be worried about bending over in front of that thing while it's running, trying to get a tool. Then, get the permanent chiropractic treatment head first.
