Gorgeous book! Thank you for sharing it. I'd love to see how you use these pictures for inspiration and interpret them in your own style.

Thank you for this wonderful review. Do you have any idea how she works so large without her paper buckling? I know she is using a heavier weight paper. Which does help. But I still get some buckling even when tightly taped.

I would imagine she might be working on 600gsm paper, this weight of paper can take a lot. 300gsm still can buckle. :)

I just checked it, the two pictures that Amazon has up look beautiful! :)) Thanks for recommending. I also noticed there is a Rose book, with no images at all, how useful is that?! :)

Botanical art is like maths; it’s hard work 😊 I keep trying to follow an online class that I have, but it is just not relaxing, too tight & intense. 🌈

I find botanical art relaxing when I have at least two hours of absolutely uninterrupted time, but lets face it, how often does that happen :)

Hi Alyona! Her artwork is amazing! I don’t know if you have been on her website...but she has these acrylic panels that portray her artwork that are incredible! She paints with transparency through the petals.....just love it. Live in the US....but would love to take a class. I am afraid I am not good enough! :)

Uhh! I'll have a look :) Btw never think that you are not good enough in art [or else] - exactly two years ago I was sitting in my mother's garden trying to paint a rose, it came out so hideous that it really put me off, but I kept pushing myself and trust me the more you draw/paint the better you can get at it. Best advice I could give is to slow down and try a tutorial/class and do exactly what they do. Then do it again and again and again. And finally take a flower, petal, any part of the flower and try painting it yourself, you'll be impressed of what you are capable of! Just never give up is the key. :)
