gether yan couldn’t agree more. What’s the point of selling such beautiful wheels when the specs are so limited and so conservative numbers 🤷🏼. I was so excited in going to buy a set until I heard the specs available was so limited and wasn’t the spec I was looking for. Now I have plans in buying something else now.

Love the FF10 but too bad the available specs in 5x112 is so limited and too conservative. Will you be coming out with more available specs in 20x9.5, 10, 10.5, and 11? Reason why we buy wheels so it can be more aggressive specs than OEMs with better stance than OEMs.

Wheel making is a very interesting process although there are various ways to make them. I am familiar with both dual gate and single gate low pressure processes and kind of liked the work when I was making wheels for Honda at a local wheel plant that was in my town oh about 20 or so years ago. With that said, unfortunately the company did not maintain the equipment in order to run good quality wheels as one sees in this video where there is minimal excess flashing on the wheels and not excess appears to be left behind in the die. That’s huge for wheel making. Also, no shrinkage or impurities can be seen in the X-ray of the wheels.

So is flow formed a type of forging that wheels get or did you knock off the name from Konig wheels? Or did they knock you guys off? Or do you both share the same forging style?
@FlowFormWheels Жыл бұрын
Forgings are not used in the cast flow forming process. Flow Forming (or Flow Formed) is part of the manufacturing process to create our FlowForm line of wheels after the wheel has been cast. We own the trademark of the term FlowForm® so other companies cannot use this term, but should only be using the two terms of the process, ‘Flow Forming” or “Flow Formed”.

They don’t bang up the wheels they send you lol, they will pull parts out of a production batch for quality control testing. The same way a car has to undergo crash testing and torture testing.

wow tested design to what standards, american roads or international roads, after all each wheel will fit on so many different cars from 18" to 22" size wheels and it all comes down to the country and type of driving the car will do, like 4x4 for example or made to the standards of the roads in you country, they have standards for wheels on road cars, which has to be meet for all factory cars etc?

2 Things I've learned about made in Taiwan 1) They are one of our biggest allies and a true democracy...they are worth supporting. 2 They make good stuff, the world would come to a stop without their microchips and a ton of other things you'd never guess. This is not made in China, 2 different worlds.

Nearly all flow formed wheels are made in China now with questionable metal purity, non-conformance to manufacturing and quality standards. Wise companies will require yearly audits to make sure they are indeed delivering a quality product. When you have a nation built upon being the lowest bidder, the people are engrained to and have actually have pride in cheating whenever possible. I urge all companies to plan their exit strategy now for China and explore other labor markets such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Mexico and the Philipines.

It's not just Chinese manufacturing.... It is all low cost labour markets.... USA along with all the other western nations need to bring production back to the home shores

So it's the weaker, Cast type manufacturing process. Still, likely slightly better then a pure cast wheel. Some nice new designs. On average, you can get a set of 4 for $1,000. Forged would be easily twice as much. Teh Vossens I like are $2,400 or $600. Buying online you have to be careful not to by fakes too.
