He yearned for the barber wearing a white shirt at the barber shop next door when he was young, and started learning haircuts at the age of 18. at the age of 18. In the '70s, he went to Seoul from Pohang and opened a barber shop. At the suggestion of the manager of the Walkerhill Hotel, who visited as a customer, he worked at a barber shop at the Walkerhill Hotel. While working there, he went to Japan in 1995 and worked for 12 years under the suggestion of the chairman of a Japanese barber shop franchise. After returning to Korea in 2007, he has been running a ‘Flowing Memories Barbershop’ in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, collecting and displaying old items and barber goods.

Truly a master! Love watching this barber at work. I am in America and I have been a barber for 46 yrs. and I do some things very similar to him, with the exception of the hand clippers at the very end, and I usually square the sideburns off, rather than make them pointed, though this may be the prevailing fashion there, or maybe what the patron requested. I enjoyed watching his work with the dryer as well. I use the same techniques with my dryer. He did a wonderful job on his patron!
