@@lordcaprisunthe2nd According to world population studies, approximately 108 billion people have lived on this planet. Assuming that the average lifespan of all these people was 25, there has been around 2.7 trillion years of life, if we multiply this by the number of days in a year (365), there is a total of 985,500,000,000,000 days of life (985.5 trillion days). The method of starting out with more or less just random ruins is actually such a good idea. It gets you into the process of placing blocks without stressing out too much about the details and it gives your mind something more concrete to latch onto than the barren landscape and get inspired off of. That second one is a big reason why I am still sad that we only got the sub surface trail ruins in 1.20, because simply some random, not even necessarily recognizable ruined structures made of basic building materials (i.e. a tall, eroded arrangement of cobblestone and some stone bricks that might have been a tower, might have been a temple, might have been an observatory) with more unique building materials and miscellaneous goods found in some mixed in suspicious blocks (i.e. any of the dyed blocks, individual material fragments like nuggets or even a random sapling or flower) would have been such good inspiration to have. Because as it stands a lot of the world has the feeling of a blank canvas, which, while a great space to put whatever you want, is also really daunting for anyone not that good at building or knowing their own limits. I mean building off of villages or cave entrances is a common beginner tactic for a reason. Would have been nice to have something more creatively inspiring just already out there, especially since building those quick, messy ruins yourself is much less of a viable method for survival most of the time.

i have an actual fenomenal build idea that i think only you can fully fulfill. im thinking about it being a broken down abandoned middle of the forest temple that overgrew with vines and trees, but the wizards still live inside of it and do their traditional magic. with your style of building it’d definitely look celestial and magical, completing the whole wizard look! also a unique addon to the whole flowstate server!

Something you can keep in mind to make building castles easier is that those massive, awkward buildings can be treated as bases which you can create flat roofs for and put more manageable buildings on top, keeping some flat space for walkable platforms. This way you dont have to try and roof those massive rooms with weird shapes and can make cool areas where soldiers would defend from.

I was going to follow a survival guide and play with it, I did a couple nights without encountering any monsters, and just decided to recreate the world and start upgrading the birch block I made, and I spent a couple hours on it and just had fun. It was relaxing to be aware of myself going back to not stressing about any questions. I’ve heard just do it, and all kinds of terms and sayings, like don’t overthink, and I have been kind of looking to my past but just haven’t found anything to help my anxiety. But today I had some fun. I made some notch apples (it was enchanted apples named in an anvil lol), and I also made banners of the different main mojang logos! (Blue/purple, orange/white, red white, too much red and no animation xd) I also found myself trying to be nostalgic, but I found that forcing myself to be nostalgic made me just want to keep doing what I was already doing. I wonder if I’ll go back in that world and keep building, but so far I’d say I did eventually have fun today. I also learned that notch had worked on other games too, and was almost hired by valve and had met with Gabe Newell. It’s probably corny but sometimes I really do imagine if these people are doing well. Like is notch alright, or gabe? Are you alright, dude? If you are or not, I hope you have a good night. Man I want some shaders on my world ٩(^‿^)۶

It may be an abstract idea and concept, but it might be a neat idea to incorporate different architectural styles and buildings into each other; such as a tudor mansion integrated with a castle... and so forth with some configuration. It may seem a little far-fetched however it has worked in a select few scenarios. A close representation of this is a manor in Georgia called "Bisham Manor." Try checking it out if you have the time. It may add to the chaotic but orderly building style here.

this kinda feels like that there was a royal family + a bunch of their workers that died out long ago but their spirits still linger in the palace & despite not being alive anymore, they still continue their routines and even their jobs all, taking into the fact that all the areas are a little rugged & broken from time but are visibly still being used! either by tourists or the ghosts that reside meanwhile, the hobo living beneath the palace and all the tourists who come to admire the abandoned palace has no idea that they're sharing the space with about a dozen ghosts lmao
