very cool that u do 117 days instead of 100. and even cooler that you also show runs that were cut short. when watching the other runs, I was genuinely surprised and screamed "noo, no way!" when it happened. And was disappointed that I wouldn't see the builds and plans u had for that world through to the end, but that's surely how you felt too, and it's part of the hardcore mode, but it's super cool that u manage to convey that to the viewer as well.

For Ancient Cities, just look under mountains. That's all there is to it. You have a pretty good chance of finding one if you look under virtually any mountain.
@godved6623 күн бұрын
To add on to this, the Deep Dark can only spawn under mountains and there will usually be one under every mountain. It's a bit rarer to find an Ancient City though.

In all honesty I have been enjoying the longer videos, its not very often I find a long calm and simple video that I can put while drawing or relaxing or doing chores and as soon as I see you upload and it be more than an hour I just feel so happy. There’s to many chaotic and loud videos now in yt that I don’t really watch that much anymore so finding yours has made my experience in this site so much better.

With Traveler's Backpack you also have a progression system - you need iron and glass to craft a backpack in the first place, and you need iron, gold, diamonds or netherite to make upgrade templates that you have to use in a Smithing Table to upgrade it. Leather tier just gets you a single chest worth of extra space, and you only get a bit above a double chest with a netherite backpack. Also, you can configure it! You can make it so the leather tier is just five extra spaces or something, and go up from there. You can also disable crafting or adjust what mobs/chests/types spawn. There's also an option to make it so if you pick up extra backpacks you get slowness, for a higher tier of slowness for each extra backpack. You should try Traveler's Backpacks, it's really good actually.

I like the longer videos that go 1-3 hours but I also like the standard 20-30min videos. They’re for different occasions. Sometimes a really long video intimidates me a little, cause I feel like I need to watch it in different sittings (when I actively want to watch it). For the background it’s amazing. The shorter videos on the other hand are nice for a little mix up, getting to watch an episode in one sitting. I guess both are nice.

Sometimes I watch them a little at a time when I don't have the time like on my break at work but my favourite thing is to watch in full on a relaxed afternoon. Your videos are truly like a story book of time. A talk from a friend in discord or the vibe of a movie you can put on instead of a TV show. My favorite combination of your content is survival, lengthy duration, and laden with thoughtful/introspective monologues. Like, for me at least, I watch every one of your videos from start to finish. I almost never have time to watch the whole thing in one, like, session i guess, but I come back later whenever i'm watching youtube and chip away at the video over a few days. For me personally, that's one of the things I look forward to most in the lulls of my day; these videos are very calming and interesting to me, so I can simultaneously relax and engage. I don't get that from other youtubers, really. But yeah, ever since your hardcore playthrough, you've become part of my daily routine, so I can definitely say I love and even prefer these longer survival videos - even if the end comes before the 117 day mark. I went off on a bit of a tangent, but I just wanted to type it out as if I were speaking. Definitely hope to see more of these in the future, I was excited to hear in the last no plan video that it was a goal of yours to up the frequency, so that's cool, man.

My husband found your video tonight and he really likes falling asleep to multi-hours long minecraft videos. I really enjoy both watching and putting them on as background noise. Personally I will watch 20 minutes at a time and come back later, until the video is finished. So I think you'll have a bit of both, but we definitely appreciate long videos!

Really great advice at times on this video. I love listening you talk about things, important subjects or just musings, that could be helpful to others, such as how to say no to people and enforce boundaries but still be kind and generous to people who deserve it.

Like you made me remember this one time I had been fired from my first job ever, and I had only $20 bills in my wallet. I went to McDonald's to buy food for my family. There was this homeless man outside asking for a ride to his "home" (a street intersection). Being a woman by myself I told him I was on my way to work so I couldn't, and then he asked if I had a little bit of money for food. So I looked at my $20 bills and thought about how I don't have a job anymore but I could tell by the look of this man and the look in his eyes and the sadness and desperation about him, after he told me he was just out of the hospital (he had a hospital bracelet as well), and I just gave him a $20. It was obviously way more than he was expecting, and he started tearing up and thanked me and said God bless you. He went right in there to buy himself a good meal. And it felt like such a good act of kindness. I really felt like I made the right choice and I wish there was more we could do for those people who really truly need help. We have a lot of people who pretend to be homeless here and stand on corners with signs who later get into their cars and go home to their houses. But I could just tell this guy was the real deal and I really wanted to help him out. I really hope that guy is doing better these days.

It’s such a small aspect, but I like that your voice echos a little when you’re in a cave. I don’t know if I’m imagining it or not, but it’s satisfying. Love your videos. Looking forward to seeing more.
