To wide..hes got to shorten that up.get hin shoilder behind it turn it over. Hes whipping that hook..An effective hook also...but its susceptible to a guy punching inside of it. And beating him to the chin..dont hook with a hooker..

Gotta pay me to spar. Remember.. Sparring is an actual fight, and if you're a champion, doing it over and over. In time, it takes a tow on you and your body. Reason why Ali succumbed to lots of head trauma and ended up like he did. Many other boxers have been wasted away sparring excessively.

I .miss watching the 1999 to 2010 floyd... he would check hook u either coming in or going out... turn the jab into a hook midway... lead left hooks... damn
@hdonaldson149622 күн бұрын
I will tell you why Shorty caught that hook while throwing that right hand when you throw the right hand from a further distance, you either have to double the jab and come in behind that jab or walk over to the right or straight behind your right hand if you stay right there after you go the right hand, your vulnerable of course you gonna get counter with the left hook that’s dumb . You need to walk behind those punches but people get taught to keep their feet at the same space and distance and be afraid to walk behind the right hand.🥊👊✌️
@live4christ29521 күн бұрын
💯 real talk no cap. Great analysis. It’s why dudes like Floyd and Andre Ward go underrated technically. I see huge named fighters today that get caught red handed in the cookie jay after that straight lol Haney is notorious for it and they say he has defense 🤦♂️ This kid Moton is gonna be a real problem if he’s already calculating distance and vulnerability to shots💯
@gerabadillo788916 күн бұрын
I am new to box, could you explain the meaning of doubling the jab? and coming behind that same jab? and walking behind the right hand? I would like to know, I think I am good with my feet, so I could run around that kid and sprint behind and all! I'd walk loose until I could find a good spot of openness and try to give that kid a bad time, figure out how to mess with him matching the footwork and try to get the dominance, it would take me a while to figure out but at least get the kid bothered eventually instead of the other way around
@hdonaldson149616 күн бұрын
@@gerabadillo7889 Yeah sure.I mean throw two or three jabs taking a step each time to close the distance,they ideally hit the target but they don’t have to.Slip low to either side and safely deliver a double hook to the body with one or both hands.Or you could take a big step with a single jab at a forty degree angle and throw a straight right hand bringing your right or back foot with it to close the distance.The force of the jab with the step will occupy his attention and let you safely land the right hand.I’m short so I need to get inside close to do damage.Even if you miss ,you attacked in a way that can’t easily be countered.First you was out of range and when you came into range you did it behind a jab and moving fast at an angle.Stationary targets that move in a linear way get hit.That’s why shorty got clocked he stopped coming forward.Watch Andre Ward or Terrance Crawford fight .They switch stance walking behind whichever backhand with maximum force and speed.🥊👊✌️
