Back in 89 there was a demo bird like this called the Silver Bullet that used to go around and do air shows. I saw it at El Toro twice. Awesome little airframe to watch when your a kid.

I remember Bill Beardsley flying a BD-5J sponsored by Bud Light back in the '80s. It was so crazy to see a jet that small back when you were a kid lol.

I remember when the BD-5 came out as a 'new thing', seeing it in all the popular aviation and tech magazines of the time. It's a hot little number. Watching it in action, it's hard to continue perspective without reference once in a while. If it wasn't for those occasional pans of the camera across the ground and objects like the T-6's, I would think I'm looking at an RC jet.

It has a top speed in excess of 300 mph, that's pretty fast.
