Hey guys, great video! Can I just recommend that you put your videos (episodes 1-15 so far) into a playlist? If you make it part of a series as well it should bring in more views as they will pool in people from from "suggested videos" and then the playlist should also play automatically for easier viewing. As a brit that lived in Beijing for a year but never learnt anything past my address and how to buy stuff, i've put it upon myself to actually learn a lot more of the language. These videos are a great help and easily some of the best on the internet!

I only understand words but don't understand the sentence , even all words in one sentence but can't translate , may be I learned lots of word I don't know what is problem with me , I learned about 300 words in 6 months and know all basic sentence structure but still can't translate in my mind but if it's pinyin I can understand 60%-70% of meaning by words

Surely you guys would be in Mandarin equivalent of IELTS band 8/9 users (advanced or expert users of the language) level?
@FluentinMandarinDotCom9 жыл бұрын
Not sure Richard, there is a test of Chinese ability (HSK), but I haven't taken it.
@jorjihonma74147 жыл бұрын
+The Wakayama Boy Because IELTS has been used as a requirement for getting further education as well as for employment, while HSK hasn't been marketed that way. But it is moving more and more towards that direction, copying the way how IELTS is functioning.

I'm just starting to learn so could only pick out small bits of speech, my biggest fear is traditional Chinese character reading and writing
@张梦琳-j9c5 жыл бұрын
Don't worry about traditional Chinese reading, you can learn it by following some Taiwanese memes pages on Instagram, I did that and now I am able to read a lot of traditional Chinese, it's a really funny way to learn Chinese. Of course I can't write traditional but currentIy i don't need it, I'm interested to learn it but in the future

你好。 我想问你一个啊。 我自己学习了汉语只有三四个月。最问题是口语。一直觉得我的口语练习不过。 你怎么解决过了这点问题? 啊, 先该问你是不是有这样的难点了。 you might not understand me speaking Chinese. probably i better write in english again. I have been studying Chinese for almost 4 months. i never took the proper class so only thing i can do is talking to myself which i don't think works well. How did u improve your speaking skills? Thxs for your reply in advance :)
